Congrats on the new find of Thunder Ridge, roy! Very pretty! It kinda looks like Morrisonite, especially the one in your 2nd photo.

That is some gorgeous stuff Roy. So many rich, saturated colors. Is is fractured or pretty solid? Congrats to you guys. I think you got a winner.

Anyone have any word on the release of the new edition of Hans Gamma's Picture Jaspers book? "Early 2015" has come and gone.

Found a piece of Jasper in my rock pile and made a few cuts. It is 3" tall and 2 1/2" wide. Don't have a clue where it came from but maybe somebody may.

Hello folks. Just sent Don/Jakesrocks a selection of slabs from my adventures in the Owhyee Mountains. I sent a non typical Monarch Jasper, it has scenery but is very light pinkish peachy tan colors with the hills barely visible until you cab it. Another one was a Haystack Butte slab that has a sunrise scene, the area is layers or hills of blackish purple getting lighter as it approaches the rising sun. Really cool. The third one is a slab of the pastel blue, pink, yellow and or white. I don't know wether the stuff is agate or opal. Anyway the claim is gone and reclaimed so you only find small specimens now. This one has blue on one side and yellow on the other. To finish it up I sent him a slab of Bennet Mountain Agate that I hounded at Tony/catmandew Idaho. Gooding Idaho.
Don is a grouchy tough ole far on here but that's a bluff! He is a great guy and I owe him for helping me with my Gem drill. It's a old one and I bought it without a handle used to pulse the drill. I contacted Don to get pics of his handle. He PMED some pics and specs to me and that was a life saver. Then he sent a pm saying I could just have the handle he had because it was off a parts only drill!!! He is a cool dude! So as I find Owhyee rough in unpacking two seasons of hounding I send him some.
Check your messages Don for the tracking number.

Bah humbug. Dang Bill, ya make me sound like an angel or something.
Just came in from about 4 hours of mowing, and saw your message. Please don't send any more stuff. You've more than paid for that little handle.

Not paying for the handle Don. You gave that as a gift. I am contributing to the Owhyee collection!

I know Bill. Maybe one of these days I'll find time to start polishing some of the specimen slabs. Got probably 400 lbs of Owyhee material to slab too.
I'm still a grouchy old fart though.
