This morning I was sitting here being lazy and stalling off getting moving and was going over this thread and realized I that i have failed to post a few I have hanging on our walls. so... here's one.
I had a piece of stinking water pet wood that was too big for my saw, so I had a buddy work it up for me. was trying to get photos out side but the mirror finishes he put on it makes it real hard to get photos without reflections. even this one inside has them. I will get better ones and post them.
woodman How large is each individual piece. It took me a few seconds to understand that the two pieces are cut in half and then opened like a book, hence the mirror images.
What kind of polish setup does he use. I have some large pieces that I am looking to cut and the mirrored approach seems to be the way to go.

They are about 16 inches side to side and 8 inches tall. he built a special fixture to get the cuts square so that they stand up right. he has a rotary lap similar to mine that he polishes on. the link is to mine.

I have been working for the last hour or more to get some photos of this set of bookend, having a real hard time getting rid of he reflections. 15 lbs, 15 1/2" wide 9" tall. Stinking Water Oak.

When I took the photo of the bookends I was in a hurry and I failed to notice that I had them positioned wrong. They are polished on both sides and I got them wrong. This photo is correct and a much better butterfly look to the pattern.
