I bought a MFRB one time and a big polished slice was included. If I post a picture, can you tell me what you think it might be?

I could try but it is usually pretty hard to ID any of it form a photo. You really need a close up of the pores. I am more of a cutter and polisher than an expert of wood ID.

I bought this on ebay from a seller in Oregon. The slab was called Pittsburgh (CA) wood. Pittsburgh is less than 30 miles from where I live.
I can't find any sites for lapidary material near me on the web. There are some lapidary clubs in my vicinity.
