The only patina I see out of place is next to your thumbnail, lol. Imagine that stuff can do some staining. Ya know, that would make a great belt buckle! Anyone know how/able to cast some brass? I mean, the copper looks great, but a belt buckle should be out of brass for weight and strength. First thing I thought was, could I make a tiny belt buckle out of this? Great minds think alike, I guess. Never been a wrastlin' fan, or a big rodeo fan, but there's something cool about winning a buckle (or belt).
Hang on just a minute here, clear me up on sumthin. You obviously have a great mind (even if you aren't smart enough to have any 1962 pennies hanging around for impromptu contests ), yet you are putting me - Moi? - in the same category as you? Now that's quite a compliment, thanky!
I hardly ever wear a belt, but when I do (oops, sorry jamesp, that's your line) - where was I? Oh, not a belt wearer, but liking the RTH logo the way I do - it MEANS something - and the oval shape just made me think belt buckle! Just a standard size, not so big like a WWF wrastlin' belt buckle. Dang, I might have to start wearing a belt if I could get me one of those!

Jean, Jean, Jean...you've got it backwards. I was trying to sneak myself into your mental category. Not as in 'you're mental' category, which I could fit into also. Anyway, after some soul searching, I've decided I would like a wrastlin' style buckle with that logo. I tried it on and think it looks entirely appropriate.

Deadline for entries January 10. I have some already!! Woot!! Thanks Tela!!! Those are stellar!!! In an earlier post, Shotgunner, you set the beginning for entries as 1/16/17. I don't know about anybody else, but I need those extra days (long story) otherwise if it ends on 1/10/17, I'll need to bow out. Sorry. Life got in the way.

Oops, hope I haven't lost track of all my pieces. Some have been given away and the others are floating around in scattered bowls. Better get to digging for them.

I just put my new tumbles (including contest rocks) in a round glass bowl in the kitchen. mrrockpicker asks me, "What are the rocks in the ziplock bag in there?" Aha, that's one way to keep track of them. I told him they would become ordinary tumbled stones (and reside in the bowl sans bag) once contest is done and gone. Some people are never happy with results of polls, recounts can go on for a long time...

Rather than save all mine as they came out of rough grind, I just sent them to the Lot O with whatever batch was ready. Pretty lackadaisical on my part. They've been coming out over the last few months and thrown in 'the bowls'. Probably could have used a re-run in the Lot O before pics, but oh well. If I don't get me one of those RTH tags, I've decided to do it myself.

Heck, while I am logged in, how 'bout another little push? Yesterday's tomorrow night is tonight, after all!
Miss the promised deadline tonight, and there will be consequences! Things may get rough...
(Just doing as I was requested was requested of me, lol. I know I learned better grammar than that! )

Tumbling was only one of the problems with Lavic Jasper. New tumbler learning curve + new camera learning curve= P.P.P.P.P.P.

New tumble learning curve, you bet. Camera learning curve no way. My IPad photos will look just as bad even if I buy a nice camera. Oh well, I still had loads of fun, so based on that....I won. Have fun or go home.

I believe he is ignoring you Jean! Captbob, I believe you are right! Wondering why he bothered to ask me to keep nudging? (scratching head) Must have other more important things to do... Well, Scott, how about SHOVE SHOVE SHOVEDoes that do anything for you?
