I have been reading posts for years and finally decided to join so I could ask questions and post replies. I recently acquired 3 decent sized rotary tumblers and a vibrating tumbler so it seemed like a good time to join.

Google looking for info on cabbing. Joined after lurking for awhile, as it's a active forum, not one that just has archives & nothing new happening.
Glad I did, lots of good info, learning lots.

I was searching for the reason why my Chicago Electric dbl barrel rock tumbler is squeaking. I'd browsed the site before but didn't see half of the info available here! Thanks for having me!

My newest obsession. Have always collected rocks. Now, armed with a couple of tumblers and a vibration tumbler I am so impressed with the output. A google search on white streaks and I found this forum. What a mine of information - freely given. Tumbling 101 taught me so much and gave me food for thought.

Like others said, I was searching for information to make a good purchase of a tumbler for my son. I've made searches for information since then and this site always pops up, it usually also has the best information. Thanks Rob, for all of your great videos and helpful instruction. You are indeed still a teacher. You have inspired me to get my old vibratory tumbler going again. Purchasing a new Lortone 2 barrel tumbler for my first stage and for getting a Kingsley North 6" cabber. Now if I could just find a trim saw like you use to cut out stones I should be all set. I have a homemade flat lap, 60 years old now and I have a 10" slab saw that is also 60 years old. All 3 old machines still work great. Thanks for the links to The Rock Shed, they were quick with my order. Both tumblers are currently at work in the basement. Thanks again for your help. PS would love to come up to Alpina and go for a hunt together sometime.

I'm glad to get you into the hobby, but sorry for all the money I cost you in the process!

Found the site while researching for what to buy for our first family tumbler. We bought some rough, and scrambled around creeks and even landscape gravel. My 6-yo is obsessed with anything shiny and intriguing he finds on the ground, asking about rocks and fell in love with the idea of a tumbler!

Searching opinions on Sintered diamond wheels lead me to the forum several years ago.
