I googled Yellowstone river rockhounds or something of the sort. Ran across this place. Kinda like it so far. If you're into rocks , you're gonna love this forum . Loads of very valuable information and great members . I've been enjoying it so far. I really appreciate the inappropriate nature of some of the comments. |

I found this place through Google. Even though I only have 20 posts I signed up as a member about 8 or 9 years ago. I was (still am) interested in finding rock hounding locations, building equipment, and learning more about rocks. I have mostly lurked through the years, but am posting more lately with questions aimed at folks who know a lot. I appreciate the depth of knowledge here and the friendly, down to earth atmosphere.

I found this place looking up DIY cab machines. Been coming back checking new stuff in that section ever since. Also recently started checking the other posts. Once I start my grinder ill post in that section!

Get back here to Colorado safe and maybe drag the family over here to Black Canyon for the day.If the kids haven't seen it, they'll love it. Its just outside the city limits too. My treat. MAybe take the little rabbits out fluorite hunting too over here..smile. Bet ole Rich, sometimes Dale and always wigglinrocks appreciates a weekend off too. He's been as busy as I have been. WInter comes even quicker up north. Don't forget to bring him a couple of your odd rocks and I'll put it in his next box.

Thank you. I talked to Molly and Sunday would work best for us. I've got about 45 pounds of odds and ends in a pelican case that I checked. I'll bring them all over with some other nice ones that I have at the house. |

I was looking to get into this hobby and was looking on what kind of equipment to buy so I figured I would ck out what the "HOT SHOES WERE USING" it didn't tke me long to find out that the LORTONE was a good choice to purchase.  So I started out as a LURKER and came back and joined and asked questions when I needed to start tumbling. |

Google images search...after my gazillion inquiry variations of "unopened geodes"...my last one being "agate geodes"... there was one image I noticed depicting a geode with close enough likeness to my curious & current find. Upon clicking the image I was brought to a fellow hound's page here! Immediately thereafter I became another bright-eyed newbie to your forum & was ELATED to create an account. Looking forward to posting tons of my lovelies soon!
