I just did the free version of this software. It showed 4 of my 19 listings, rated them with a B-, D+, D+ and a B-.(If you get the free version it only does 4 of your listings. I simply added the tag words it suggested from my 13 Etsy tag words after it rated them and inserted them in my title. Then renewed my listings($.20/listing) Resulted in A+, A+, A+ ratings and the A- has not had the tags added to the title. Too easy. Could it work ? It sure is easy. Great for one off listings. Stores your tags in a bucket and may look thru them for you and rate them, bunch of other stuff, but that costs $19/month. For the A- listing it gave me the same instructions as the other 3 listings: Added the six tags it suggested to the 42 inch fire pit title and it is now rated at A+

Now time to sit back and see if the click rate increases, click rate is best for sales in general.
May want to give this a go for your Etsy shop. It is brain dead simple.

I recently quit Etsy. They wanted to be a bank. I didn't want them to have all that information.
Is your Marmalade separate, or is it to enhance Etsy?
I'll check it out. Thanks!

But built for Etsy. I have a website. I signed up for Google analytics and quickly found out that my website gets very few hits. Where my Etsy shop gets many hits. The website hits were mostly in Georgia because you can get found easier in the state that you live in(local). On a national level there were just too much competition with the big corporations. On the other hand, national attention is way easier and cheaper to be had on Etsy. I am in deep study on Etsy as they changed some things recently that negatively effected my shop(devastated it). After 3 days of intense study I found a lot of things I was either doing wrong or did not know about. I intend on restoring mt Etsy business. I found Marmalead today. It is a new software. Easy to use. Makes sense but do not know how well it will work till I watch the stats for a while. Most of my study is listening to Youtube videos about Etsy.

Must have been the Marmalead ads. I modified the above 3 fire pit ads(30", 36 " and 42" pits) at 5PM yesterday using Marmalead instructions (to their A+ rating). I had record views for last night for my entire shop and sold a 36" and 42" pit modified on Marmalead !! Perhaps the sales were by chance but probably not the amount of views. Sales have been dead for 2 weeks. Freaking out at amount of views. Views = sales. Yesterday, my entire shop, listings modified at 5 PM: 30 day look back. Yesterday is a record amount of views for over a year excepting a couple of peaks. And a 60 day look back. Specific Marmalead listing, this dead horse came to life. Marmalead rated it as a D+ listing before mod.: 36" and 42" Marmalead listings last night. Finally some sales. A photo of a Scott Solar Horny Toad lol. I think Scott is related to the HORNY toad.

I spent the weekend studying Etsy suggestions and tut videos. And a lot of time over the past two weeks fooling with keywords, tag words and title words including photos. Because of some Etsy changes 2 weeks ago that adversely effected my shop. To no avail.
Then I ran up on this Marmalead app an gave it a try. It is early to make any conclusions, but Marmalead looks quite promising.
Etsyrank is another similar program for optimizing Etsy listings. It is free. Looked at it late last night. Will be comparing Etsyrank to Marmalead.

They don't make it easy for the average person do they..................................MrP Well stated Michael. They do not. And if this program revolutionizes search on Etsy everyone else will follow only to raise the bar. And newer methods will enter the playing field. It never stops. The computer savvy young Americans may excel in these areas IF they have a statistical mind. I think my brain has been trained from growing 60-70 different plants for 25 years. Long term trends using different fertilizer/habitat/soil etc. conditions for different plants each year, watching their progress months at a time year after year. Collecting a data base for each variety. On my feet, not behind a desk. Can't write that data down out in the field. This practice models internet trends to some degree. I suffer CRS. But my brain remembers long term trends for some reason. Like mapping my wife's attitude towards me over the years as she found out what a long legged jack-ass(her words) I am. That would be a long term exponential downturn in attitude lol. Exponential decay ha This website analytics is a battle of statistical trends and their relationships to each other related to shopper's behavior and whims. It is the key to success if selling on the internet. Not much of a way to get around it.

Should I purchase Marmalead ?
Probably not necessary for me.
The free version allowed me to modify 2 category listings to A+ rating. 1) 3 fire pits and 2) a fire pit cover. That is my only 2 products. I can simply duplicate the other pit and cover ads.
Marmalead is simple because it operates on the simple concept that Etsy utilizes the best tag words for your category being put in your title and 13 tag words. You find the best tag words for your category and cram as many as you can at the end of your title. 140 character title limitation. Use the first 6 or so words to describe your product, then cram best tags after that separated by spaces.
The best tag words are about always in a list starring at you in the top rated 'search terms' at the middle of your stats page.
You can also go steal your competitors tag/title words and insert them into Marmalade's storm storage and Marmalead will also rate them. Until you have giant list of rated tag words. Simply pick the best for your title and 13 tags. You can store them in a separate file for each product you sell. That is when it gets complicated if you do not use Marmalead when selling a variety of products.
High traffic products require the best group of tags. This is the toughest call, but if you have a tag word grading system it is likely easy to do.
This makes sense.

I recall trying to work with you about adding key (tag) words for your ads months and months ago. We were talking craigslist at the time, but it's the same most anywhere you list products. Glad you found a site to confirm such.
No suggestions regarding spousal attitude adjustments. Logical tactics unreliable, results unpredictable. Large infusions of cash seem beneficial but have temporary rather than lasting results. That may well be due to the "what have you done for me lately" complex. Studies continue.

Looks like you may have stumbled unto something that is up to the hype. Good job and happy sales! We will see what time does Tela. It sure seems promising. Certainly a clever app. I question my long experience of knowing the best search words for my limited product line. Makes it easier to know the best words. However, after watching the Marmalead video done by a young lady client this morning I saw more light into the cleverness of this app for a mixed line of products. marmalead.wistia.com/medias/ytzuxrncr6?__s=pwctgofymspybmm1fttv

I went looking for a similar program or service for websites. There are too many to choose from. I gave up. I experienced a glaze over. Too many terms that I am not familiar with. I need seo for dummies. LOL! I am getting ready to open my shop and could use all the help I can get, though. What google wants and what etsy wants are 2 different things.

A combination of complicated tag words is a small percentage as complicated as the other subject matter. And apparently confirm is what it does. However infusions of cash is seems quite fail proof. An app for the ladies, maybe the electrons of the software would cover a continent.

I don't know where to say to start Tela. The Etsy world seems a bit simpler but changes as the website world does. It makes you wonder if you have to hire SEO people and keep them on the payroll just to sell products. The SEO person we use can translate Google Analytics darn well. Uh, seems to anyway. Reality is not a visible feature in this subject. Overwhelm comes to mind and my product line is simple. I kept falling in a tunnel of confusion. I must say this program attacked some of the unknowns. I wish you well on your endeavor. I just don't let it get under my skin. Persistence helps. Then luck.

Sold 4 pits from 2 of 3 Etsy listings modified via Marmalead since Saturday 4 PM.(Sat 4PM till Sunday late PM) Best 2 days in a long time. I guessed this looking at the listing improvements. Did not seem like a random occurence. Colorado-Michigan-New York-Boston. Call from Hollywood for a big one in a film set, waiting. Other convos. Dropping these to ship, then picking up ~10,000 lbs in bowls return trip. All day job.
