Apparently it is better and cheaper advertising to renew listings regularly than pay for promoted listings.

LOL! I don't run into too many nasty people, but when I do, I am usually nicer to them than the nice ones because I know how much it pisses them off. Proverbial 'dump the bowl of wrath on their head' lol. Works like a charm.

Apparently it is better and cheaper advertising to renew listings regularly than pay for promoted listings. Yup, I have it set up so that at least one thing is renewing everyday. I don't know what kind of games etsy has been playing but my rock shop views have dropped off the map from all highs. I don't even care anymore. Too much to guess at.

Coral encased in concrete bookends. Could not sell one of a dozen made. did you ever think about coloring the concrete? or using small tumbles as aggregate for added color?

Probably better to not get too optimistic Tela. I have heard war stories over not renewing which seems ridiculous. Computers can be very dumb and little tricks can deceive them much faster and easier than decieving a spouse lol. I will say that tag word is a number in the computer's eyes and computers can do logic better than humans if it is numerical relationships. Makes good sense that this program may shine. Curious how the Etsy logic AND data is brought in by Marmalead.

I did a few others with effects notjuststone. Had fun w/them. One is a chunk of glass. Geode would be cool. I have a wet polisher. I could face polish. www.flickr.com/photos/67205364@N06/sets/72157632603745435

I'll tell you something else that does not make sense rockjunquie. I changed my $2/day promoted ads to $.10 bids and am getting more ads than ever. At auto setting Etsy was setting my bids expensive and I ran out of $2 budget after 5 clicks at like 5 AM. Setting them at $.50 to $1 per click ?^%$# At $.10/click my click budget lasts darn near all day. Makes no sense. Low click rates but nonetheless. 15-20 better than 5/day.

Tommy, where did the link for your store go? I took it out of my signature about a year ago. Work is work, play is play Dang Tommy, you are the Etsy master. Big sales numbers and great reviews. Not to sure about Marmalead outdoing your system. Your cabs speak for themselves tagged or not. Nice work. Funny thing, I am negative-ish and my wife is positive in general. Many of the listings I wrote scored less than 1% negative and hers were mostly above 80% in negativity according to the 'negativity' rating. I think it is words like shabby difficult hard-to-do etc. hmmm. Anti-Etsy community words I suppose.

Thanks jamesp. I bet you work a hell of a lot harder for a sale at FPA than I do for one at TLO

Thanks jamesp. I bet you work a hell of a lot harder for a sale at FPA than I do for one at TLO The internet part has been smooth till that auto-correct deal. As far as labor and shipping I would think so. After unloading today I would bet on it lol. I really like getting orders on the internet and paid in advance.

rockjunquie TommyMarmalead is scoring for me in creating views. Views that have been closely proportional to sales. I finished applying it to all my listings yesterday morning. 5 listings last Saturday, the other 12 listings yesterday Saturday. It took about an hour. Last Saturday was 113 listing views, this Saturday 149, an all time high. Last Sunday was 226 listing views, an all time high. I am predicting today(now at 4 AM) today Sunday will beat last Sunday's all time high. Real time screen shot at 4AM today Sunday. Predicting today to approach 300 views if last weekend is mimicked. Etsy search is apparently all about the title. The grading of key tag words in chronology of 'quality' and listing them in chronology from highest to lowest quality after description in title alone seems to be the trick. With the first word in your title description being #1 search word. Minimum 7 key tags in title. Then renew listing. 5 photos. Repetitive 13 tags. Repetitive description. Could repeat 2 photos in each listing, 3 new photos for one-off piece(me welding or you guys running cab machine for other 2) Typical title. Ugly but has high performance. Probably better if 36" was moved to Firepit 36" 36" Firepit Fire Pit Medium Depth Pedestal Base metal fire pit fire pits fire pit bowl fire bowl fire pit cover(within 140 characters) 7 tags as graded from best to least by Marmalead at this time: Firepit Fire pit metal fire pit fire pits fire pit bowl fire bowl fire pit cover

OK, it is 1:15 and am already to 100 views. Above AM prediction of 300 likely coming true. Freaking me out.
I am certain this is Marmalead. 5 sales yesterday, not just views. Most sales occur 2PM to 11PM Sunday.

Views last 30 days, Marmalead applied beginning April 22. Maintaining listings should be as simple as monitoring and inserting occasional trending key words into listing titles. And renewing listings every Saturday in AM or whenever peak viewing cycle is for your product. Income last 30 days Two weekends running with abnormally high statistics. Never made the 300 view prediction for yesterday. But total weekend views improved. Weekend of April 22 - 420 views Weekend of April 29 - 463 views

Sold 4 pits from 2 of 3 Etsy listings modified via Marmalead since Saturday 4 PM.(Sat 4PM till Sunday late PM) Best 2 days in a long time. I guessed this looking at the listing improvements. Did not seem like a random occurence. Colorado-Michigan-New York-Boston. Call from Hollywood for a big one in a film set, waiting. Other convos. Dropping these to ship, then picking up ~10,000 lbs in bowls return trip. All day job. Isn't 5 ton a bit beyond your...... ahem.... axle's capacity?Sorry, already handled....

Monday trip to freight company, trailer still alive. Heading to junkyard tomorrow with trailer to pick up a load of 20' angle iron(3" X 4" thick gauge). Going to weld up a long double/triple decker narrow trailer to fit 4 pits on bottom, 4 in 2nd level, and maybe 4 on top level for easier lift truck side load/unload. Would make a good festival/street side sales platform too. Maybe a couch on highest level.

I have two buddies that help me weld @shotgunner. I pay them good but I think they just like doing it. Practice welding and enjoy the outside. We'd have a good time.
