Welcome Teresa, PLease excpet my deepest apologies if you feel i am personally trying to bad mouth you as a dealer. Please know i am not. And im glad the word got to you and you joined this group. Becsaue without your driect input, there could only be spectulation on the whole lawsiute thing. But it is my professional opinion that shouldnt be talked about when theres no way for the public to actaully know whats going on, wether you think i would agree and do the same or not. Or whos actaully invloded. IF this person actaully goes through with it, then it should be noted to the public. BUt as you have read my opinion above. Ive experince frist hand as a buyer, that lawsiutes can and do effect more than the two parties invloded when rough rock collections were being split up and i was a unknowing buyer. And it sucks no dout im sure what this person is trying to do to you and your rocks. But untill i as a public person can find reference to back up either claim. I will spectulate as to whats really going on. Based on personal experince. Welcome and please keep us posted of this person if does what you say he will.

Hi. thanks............ Yes, this is all good quality old stock material.. We have been involved in the rock business for about 30 years.. 20 years of it was collecting only. We are going to stay in the rock specimen business after we sell all our rough.. Next week we are headed up to the Keokuk, Iowa area for a 10 day hunt by canoe for the Keokuk Geodes. If you saw the pics on our site, you will see what my husband finds. He dives under water with chisel and hammer to extract these rare specimens.. All our friends are waiting for us to get back so they can pick through what he finds. Hope to be bringing back some giant specimens in the 300 pound range. Has anyone here ever done their own hunting for these geodes? WE are also planning a trip next month to the Crystal Mines in Arkansas. This is something we enjoy, hunting our own material.. Thanks William C, Blarneystone, and Pho.. Keep on Rockin.. Teresa

Hi Freeform.. Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. That is fine.. Apology is accepted. As for the lawsuit posted on my website, it was a lawsuit against me. The whole thing was ridiculous. This person tried this little scam on us a couple times. The 3rd time we were not going to go for it.. I did not list his name or anything about him. We are not out to discredit anyone but will stick up for ourselves when we know we are right.. This guy tried to extort us big time.. We were not going to post his name unless he tried to follow through on his lawsuit and then we would only post the facts as they came available. We have many friends in the rock business and have never run across someone like this.. Greed is his game. We just wanted to warn others so they would not have to have the same problems we did. Anyway it looks like he gave up. Have not heard anything from him in over a month.

Hi Teresa. Welcome to the forum. I too enjoy checking out your website. Some of those rocks are down right gorgeous. Wish I had some cash as I would get some also. I'll have to join Pho in the lottery line. LOL Again, welcome to the forum and get some pics of your finds from you fieldtrips on here!! We all love pics as sometimes it's the only way to see the good stuff!

We go to Arkansas for crystal hunting too. We like going to Judy's digs in Mt. Ida. We also worked the Sweet Surrender Mine but was very dissappointed with that one. Gee and Dee's is a good place to work too as well as Bear Mountian. We realy like Bear Mountian the most. We also went to Coleman's mine near Hot Springs...and did not have much luck there but did get a lot of stuff from their Rock Shop in Hot Springs. I agree...digging for crystals is a load of fun, hard work but relaxing at the same time. Most enjoyable in the early mornings. Our last trip back in June, yeilded about 1500 pounds of goodies of all sorts, most of which is still piled up in the front yard waiting to be sorted.

Welcome to the board Teresa! My apologies to you, I reread your email answer to me, it wasn't that you were "not nice", just more exact and to the point, different from your first email. I know nothing about the price of rock and did not mean to insult you with the offer. I should have done some research on the prices first. Please accept my apology. Maybe later on (please), you might consider selling some smaller quantities to us poor folk on this board. You do have some beautiful rough! Good luck with your hunts! Wish I could go. Oh, and be safe!! Sheri

Hi Teresa, welcome to the board. One thing you don't have to worry about here is whether or not folks are willing to share their opinions I think I need to clarify, for everyone following this thread, that in my post on the second page, I made reference to shyhobbit's positive comments about teresasrocks. SHYhobbit and ROCKhobbit are not the same person (at least as far as I know *lol*). My post links to an earlier thread where teresarocks was discussed. Shyhobbit posted, "I have to say that the rocks are absolutely excellent/high quality and weigh more that what is noted on the auction. I've also got to say this: Teresa's husband packs those rocks for shipment as though they were the crown jewels of England and shipment is always done very quickly." I can see that the two names were confused in several instances here, which is understandable as they are close. Anyhow, just wanted to be sure that all comments were attributed to the right person. Also, and possibly causing even more confusion, if you do follow the link I posted to the other thread, please note that the thread mostly addresses tnvalleyminerals, NOT teresarocks. But teresarocks does come up in the conversation, so if you read it, please do so carefully. The issue with tnvalley related more to the apparent age and demeanor of the girls used in their advertisements, which is a completely different, and very serious issue. I certainly would not want anyone wrongly associated with that kind of activity, again, those concerns were specific to tnvalley. Hope this clarifies as opposed to just making things worse... Laura

hi teresa, welcome to RTH. so then.. for the good folk at RTH, are you willing to cut those 100 # minimums down to 10 - 20 ? I for one would jump in for some of your nice rock at some lower prices per lot. I sure like those Uruguay eyes alot. cuervo/ed

Welcome to the board Teresa. I'd love to pick up someof your agates....I'd also like to know if you'd be willing to lower the # per lots. I'd jump in on some as well as I'm sure many others here. Let us know...and I know they've got lots of corn in Iowa...just drove through there. You're just teasing us now....although, I'd rather have seen Geodes. Steve

Hi steveholmes.. My husband takes care of the rough rock.. He is trying to get it all sold before the end of the year. I am mainly into the single specimens. I asked him about selling in smaller lots but he does not want to do it.. Already lowered them from a 600 pound barrel to 100 pound lots. He is always traveling and does not have the time for smaller orders. I do not get involved with the packaging or shipping of the rough. Too heavy. That is why I stick to the smaller specimens. Going back to the keokuk area second week of sept. We also collect old beer cans from the 1930's to the 1960's. I will trade rocks for old cans. To get an idea of what we collect, you can see my other hobby website at killercans.com.. I do not sell anything off that site. Just put the site together so others know what I am looking for.. later all............ Teresa

Pinemountaintrader: THANK YOU for clarifying the difference between me and rockhobbit! I was horrified on page 3 when I saw that people were attributing remarks to me that I have never made about Teresa. I have always had a positive experience with her as a vendor and have never been disappointed in the items I have received.
By the way, yes, rock and I are different hobbits!

Hey shyhobbit...... We have dealt with you many times.. Very nice customer.. Going to be getting back into specimens soon. Came across a huge collection of really nice large plates of clear calcites with inclusions inside of fools gold. These were collected from the Linwood Mine in Iowa. The owners of the mine will not let anyone take these specimens out but like any other mine, they somehow find there way into the rock hobby. This guy we are purchasing the collection from has some plates over 12 inches across and of museum quality. Some also have secondaries of Clear Yellow Barites. Going to be picking them up within 2 weeks.......
