Hey Kim ,
I went to that spider page in Oz and got sidetracked. Very interesting reading. 1 year is all that orb spider gets. I often see birds looking under the awnings and through the trelliswork for spiders, they realy look in every little nook and cranny. Thanks

Wow, cool sander. Looks like it would be hard to work a stone with the belt up in the air like that or can it be changed to a horizontal position?

Thanks Ron ... product of one of my Christmassy moods *smile*. I can't wait to hear about how you like the sander. If you don't mind me asking can you give us a general price range. Not that I have a Lowes anywhere near me but I will next year I believe. Supposedly the first Lowes to come into Minnesota will be about 15 minutes from me .. Yippeeee.

Looks like Christmas came early in my house this year. After listening to the input about the belt sander, I picked up this unit from Lowe's. It was a couple of bucks more, but has a 3/4 hp motor. Now I'm just waiting for my new belts to use on my rocks. Hey Doc, I think I will still pick up a 8 inch grinder though. I'm just going to watch to pick one up cheap. Looking for a cheap 8" grinder? Look at this... and it's wet! www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=35098Harry

Now that's pretty cool looking but it also looks like you'd need to wear a rainsuit while working with it. I mean, you can't tell me that the water isn't going to be spraying up on that wet wheel. Great price though.

Sorry Ron, my rainsuit remarks were for the grinder that Harry listed the link for. Now that you mention it though .. disk that is, I hadn't noticed that. You can use both disk and belt sanders on that one eh?
