Thumbs and all else up. You two outdoors gals are killin us. Y'all both from up north ? To hell w/the south. Spent couple of hours strolling thru ADAC Interior Design Center yesterday looking at the expensive glass. Speaking of ladies, walk in ADAC with jeans and a welding hat on. You could be a cyclops and have Atlanta's finest asking you to their flat. Those lady decorators are not from this planet fine and appear totally forward. All the male competition in that establishment are light on their feet slimy gay men gave me the heeby jeebies. One shop owner told me to go shop for glass where the ADAC tenants get it at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart. That was a great contact as the sellers at the Mart sell specific category items(like new glass) and priced for resale. Picked up this amethyst geode end table w/lazer cut glass top for $10,000(not really) Talked this shop owner down to $50 for these 2 large Polish made glass wall mounts. She had them laying on a bed because she had pulled them down to redecorate and wanted them gone. She bought them from the Merchandise Mart for $25 ea had them marked up to $285 ea. Dumb Buckhead rich people buy there to say they bought there. Left there and picked thru discarded glass till dark. Glass studio is in a courtyard surrounded by artist's flats. I had an audience whilst dumpster diving lol. Me don't care. I hope Janke commissions me to help him build a glass kiln since he was asking where he could get a large steel tube. Would love to learn how to build one. Sorted the first real load of colored gay glass from a 20 pound barrel media screened prior. Must have 100 pounds rolling in coarse grit. Better stuff. About 35% by weight needs to grind longer, large stainless steel tray ready to start finish. jamesp and MsAli Going to sorta share an oldie but goodie about Northern USA Girls. Especially MN and WI Ones. Yes, we can drive though 8" or more of snow. Yes, we can drive through ice in roads. On a vehicle we maintain ourselves. We can use gun, with perfection. We know how to fish, know where the fish are, adjust to conditions, and make the catch. We also know how to clean the catch and prepare it in many ways. We are oblivious to pain and illness. We do what is needed for our family when experiencing what would put others down. We can drink with the boys, and then some. We are dedicated to family, friends and those who need help. Yes, we are very much the lady at times. The mother. The sexy woman who knows how to please her man. We are the community leader in so many ways. We help others who need us, at a moments notice. We may appear ragged at times. Our fingernails are often unkept. Our hair might be messy. We wear jeans and T-shirts in summer. Unless when at a lake and swimming or in a canoe/kayak. We might be wearing baseball caps throughout the year. We know how to chop wood, and put it in the furnace or fireplace. We can maintain most maintenance needs at home. We can also control any critters that are on our land. Some of us can subdue an unruly animal weighing over 1000 lbs. with a certain look. We are what we are and loved by many.

Running lots of smalls with the bigger pieces. With no quartz pea gravel the coarse SiC is not breaking down much rolling straight glass. Been reusing it even. Catching it in a tray below a screen at wash down. Lots of water to clean the mud off of it. Muddy with trash in it, works fine.

My 2nd father lived across the street where I grew up. He was from Minnesota and me and him were best fishing partners age 6 to 16. He had two daughters 2 and 3 years older than I whom I had a crush on. They treated me like kid brother. Always loved those folks. we could catch Walleye at the Lake Lanier dam in N Georgia where the water was 200 feet deep and cold enough to support them. You could tell those Walleye were top of the list for culinary purpose. They were of Norwegian ancestry.

The force has been strong on this one . . .
James tumbling "High End" glass, made me wanna do it some more myself.
So I'm cleaning up the basement under the stage at the theater I work at and discovered a huge pile of Broken and Obsolete lights that will never be used again. Decided to get a buncha lenses and got busy cannibalizing some lighting fixtures. That is when I discovered the piles of Roundels that we can't use anymore. Roundels are round colored glass that were used to color lights mounted in strips over the stage. These are 7 inches in diameter and come in Red, Blue, Green and Orange with a thickness between 1/4 and 3/8 inch.
The Clear lenses are between 1/4 and 1 inch thick, quality glass without bubbles. Got some Fresnel lenses too, thick sawtooth patterns in circles around the glass.
Will try and post some pictures in the morning . . .

I love the subdue an animal with just a look....the Arabian I ride can be such a jerk. But he knows when he has crossed the line with me, the look he gives back cracks me up. Love that bond.

Walleye - yum! My absolute favorite fish with halibut a close second. Haven't had a good walleye in years. I used to go fishing with my aunt and uncle and cousins up to MN every summer. Leech Lake was my stomping grounds back then. Lived in Walker when I was a wee lass. Make a trip up to Leech everytime I go home. One of my favorite lakes and beautiful country. Loved my time up there when I was a kid. It was many decades ago, but the memories still make me long for walleye cheeks and scrambled eggs for breakfast!

It was many decades ago, but the memories still make me long for walleye cheeks and scrambled eggs for breakfast! Amalgamated Northern Gals INC. Y'all are scrumptious. I took a jungle venture into the wilds deep into Peru to the head waters of the Amazon River. The guide told me of a tribe of ladies the Europeans called Amazon Women I believe discovered in the late 1940's. They were feared by all, and just to let people know that they meant business they cut one of their breasts off. So we were going downstream easterly from Lima in a boat, 4 men Peruvian guides and two gal Peruvians, gals appeared to be in charge... When we made it to base camp and got settled they took us to a rope going 140 feet up into a giant tree and we were allowed to climb to the viewing platform. They had modern foot and hand rope grip climbers so it was easy to do. An American gal was ascending and got her hair caught in the rope gripper at about 60 feet up. Most attractive young Peruvian gal lead guide told the 4 men guides to stand back and she would perform the rescue. That gal free climbed 60 feet of rope and cut the American girl's hair free. Me and Randy and Rusty were in awe of her athleticism but more so her authoritarian powers. This same lady guide tried to molest me for a fish. That's right. One of the male guides would take me and 2 buds fishing every day. I caught a giant 20 pound Peacock Bass one day. When we got back to camp I of course walked up the dock and to the cabins holding my trophy. That gal walked over to me and put her arm around me and began to lead me to the guide's sleeping quarters. I asked the male guide what was happening. Sorta understood what he was saying and handed him the fish. Material goods were of no value to those people, but that dang fish was worth something !! Mode of transport in that water locked village was hollowed out log canoes, totally primitive. Amazing trip. Never will forget it.

captbob and @shotgunner seemed to be making light of sexual orientation and testosterone. Well, there is another factor, gonad size. This takes gonads boys, posting tumbled pieces of a hammered Murano confetti in MsAli's presence. The 3 doing vertical in the center(Alison knows which are the Murano). The others are China mades except the purples are Janke hand blown from trash pile Hell yea !!!

Muranos are in a stripe across the middle. The best of the best. That was easy. Looks better this way and has greater value.
"This Murano glass pendant hails from the 1940's. Just look at the rich cold colors. This piece is striking and is sure to compliment your boldest summer party outfit. At the racetrack or Polo pitch, this piece is certain to turn heads. Each piece is unique. As you may guess supply is very limited. Get this one while you can, before someone else does."

You said it before, don't challenge him . Still sick about that confetti. Decided to collect the high enders. The workmanship is just too over the top. I am planning to register with the Atlanta Merchandise Mart. There I can see what the big dealers are paying for fine high end glass. And just to get to look at it. I don't think glass blowing has changed much. But the machine made glass is on a serious technology increase.

LOL on the most recent posts here. I am Norwegian, about 50%, Native American and Irish. Whatta combo. But, it gives me free rein to be very passive aggressive and also appreciate he finer things in life, like rocks and everything else in nature. Plus, my Irish blood, lets me give horses and other animals, the look, to subdue them. That look also works with employees and residents. Glass is looking great, and I appreciate your doing research into what glass is valuable, jamesp.
