All I can tell ya John, is on my Lap-Lap I go 270-1200-3000 to polish. I don't know if this applies to what you are doing or not. The kit came with 270 dia. paste, and a Lap for 1200 Diamond paste, and a polish Lap. I found it cuts polish time way down to drop in a 3000 step since the 1200 still left some pretty big scratches.

Coming in kind of late on this thread and it took forever to read it ... going back and forth looking for the faces ... but I found most of them. LOL
All of your pieces are terrific, beautiful job. I really like those blue diamond ones. That's some really pretty stone.
Great Job!! Cher

Sands, that's what I like about the stuff I'm doin now, I let the rock take it's natural shape and Then figure out how I'm gonna mount it. I want it to be part Mother Nature, part Me. Staight lines? We don need no stinking straighht lines! cookie

Sands, I wish we COULD send you a new back, but that's not somethin' we can find on eBay. Since we can't find that (even through a Google search), is there anything else that you might enjoy?
All joking aside, how are you doing?

nice work sands.....I really enjoy looking at all the stuff that you beautify...I have this nodule that my parents found for me this spring in missouri around the lake of the ozarks area...I had another and broke it up.. it had many different shades of grey banding...I wish I would have kept it whole...I will not be smashing this one and I don't have a saw. its about 2 inchs long by 1 /2 inchs wide and like 1 1/2 inchs tall. So in order to see the beauty that it holds inside I would like to just give it to you. contact me with your address if you want it.
