Best grit price I've seen.

I have had a good experience with the supernova wheels. I haven't bought a Diamond Pacific Wheel for a while. Even if the SN wheels don't last as long (inconclusive) the value is there.

I ordered a boatload of stuff from Johnson Brothers a week ago Monday (3/23). They billed & shipped it yesterday (3/30) and per UPS it's slated to arrive on (4/7). Amazon they are not, but I'll cut them some slack because I'm just happy they are working at all right now. Hopefully it arrives when it's supposed to, and my whole order is good to go. Fingers crossed.

So here it is. I was tired of paying through the nose For DP wheels. I purchased a 100 grit SuperNova From JB. I like it BETTER than the DP wheel.. It got here in a week. ALSO Better than DP And? Close to 1/2 the price of the DP wheel. Also got a 60/120 GALAXY style wheels From Jade Carver .. Love those too Lifes too short for worn out wheels. Thanks Steven Wiseman AKA stardiamond

Fingers crossed. Amazon isn't Amazon now and Costco online is shipping much slower. My last order 4/17 was shipped on 4/21 and delivered on 4/24 including a 1 day UPS delay. I buy multiple gallons of water based coolant from them and since shipping is expensive I started ordering other items to save on shipping and have been satisfied with all their products.

Re: Supernova wheels. I cut lots of cabs and I've been very happy with mine. I've had them the better part of 2 years and they still have a lot of life left. They're a bit firmer than DPs so if you like lots of "give" on a wheel's surface you should stick with DP. While many folks seem to hate JB with a passion, I've had satisfactory results dealing with them.

Well, I don't hate them so much that I didn't want to save a bunch of money. They ARE still open which is nice considering Covid. They DID email me right away with answers to my questions. I know my new sintered wheel will ship a month to 2 months from now. I don't mind waiting when I KNOW I have to wait. Everyone else is shipping them slow, too. So, I guess I am giving them another chance.

Well, I have an update. They told me it would take 2-3 months to get this wheel. I got an email this morning with a tracking number. I didn't bother to check since I just got the number. So, imagine my surprise when my UPS guy delivered it today! It was shipped on the 1st! Not really complaining... But, I think they found a wheel that has been laying around the warehouse. It has a bit of rust. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/91506/sintered-wheel-question-rust
I am withholding opinion on this until I can get the wheel on and test it- probably Fri.

I ordered two gallons of coolant and 8 riker boxes. When the order arrived the coolant had leaked from one of the gallons and soaked the cardboard packaging of the riker boxes. The coolant was in a plastic bag. I took a picture of the unopened bag which showed the coolant levels in the gallons and the wet cardboard. I removed the cardboard from the riker boxes and they were wrapped in bubble wrap envelopes and dry except the glass in one was broken. I emailed them with the pictures and waited a few days for a reply, resent the email waited a few days and called. They had a record of my emails and said they would take care of it. Today I got a shipping notification from them. I expect that they made things right. I think that Southern California businesses are being impacted by covid. I ordered a $400 piece of equipment from another vendor that was to be shipped from Diamond Pacific (also in socal) and it's been eight days and I haven't received a shipping notification. I understand am not concerned.

Well, the wheel works more than fine, so count me as more than happy camper. I was prepared to wait a few months, but they came through.

I am waiting on 4 wheels to come back resurfaced they called yesterday to let me know they were ready. I think it’s been 3 weeks total since I sent them out so that’s not bad timing. I would like to hear more feedback on how their resurfaced wheels cut and polish compared to Nova. I’ve heard 2 people say they take some extra breaking in but so far everyone has not said anything negative against them. I sent (2) 280’s and asked that they make them 220 and two 600’s. Teaching myself to cab has been hard on equipment but I finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel and figured it all out.

I’m surprised JB and other lapidary brands don’t have more of a presence here. Maybe it’s against forum rules.

I've ordered from them and was so unhappy with the whole transaction and product (polishing wheels) that I returned it and will never do business with them again. Their customer service sucks ass. Sorry for my french. Well once again I got the answer I was looking for on here Tommy I totally agree Johnson Brothers Lapidary does suck ass I just called to order 2 - 6” x 1/2” arbor sintered blades, diamond powder while I was at it. I called because my cell signal totally sucks ass to that’s why I called them as I thought I would be faster. When the guy answered he said he was heading out the door with some boxes. Ok I would like to buy some saw blades & diamond powder I have my resale number and credit card. He then says I don’t need it call back tomorrow we are closing. Service like that dose sick ass all day.

Better not to answer at all. That would have been better. I think I understand why they have so many bad reviews the guy have a very hard speaking English mostly likely can’t read either. It was very broken English and hard to understand. On the other hand it may have been a mouth full of donkey ass

In that case I would be surprised if you even had your call answered.
