Found this today, the first picture is what I kind of saw. Most of the rock was covered in dirt. I dug it out of the ground, flipped it over and washed it- and was very pleasantly surprised! It has a green band, which I haven't seen much... Thanks for looking!

What a gorgeous find today my friend!! The weather was perfect to be out there today too!! (Dang family function I had to go to!! LOL) Thanks Jason, probably one of my top 10 for sure. The wind was blowing about 40 miles an hour here- but at least it wasn't snowing! Oooooo, miket . That's an awesome keeper!! If I could make a living just off hounding, I would. You know the rush you get when you find some nice stuff? I can’t explain the feeling you get when you find a new deposit of some previously unfound material.

I have a pretty good method down at this point on how to find materials. Just from looking at soils, topography, elevation, surroundings etc. it’s not 100%, but I’ve become pretty successful using things I’ve learned like that out in the field
