Ok, here's the first cab that I started last night. It's from the slab directly above. If I counted right I believe that I'll get 6 decent cabs total.  |

I know, Brent, right? It may not be the best Teepee I've ever found pattern-wise, but it's definitely the most interesting. I'm sure smarter people here on RTH can explain how the completely different patterns formed on both the inside and the outside of the agate and then got surrounded by the host matrix ( 1dave and others...). I'm just glad I took the time to move the hundreds of pounds of rocks that I did to find it!  |

Ok, here's the next one in progress. I'll probably just keep what I get out of this one rock in this thread, all the way to the wraps. Sort of a "journey" kind of thread I guess. This cab has a ways to go yet but I'm excited about it so I thought I'd share. 😃  |

I haven't been on the forum for the last couple days...wowsers! I have to echo what others have stated...you truly have a great eye for finding beauty in the material you have! (Not to mention an eye for FINDING the material in the first place!  ) |

Here's number 3. Kind of funny, the dry looking spot in the upper left of the cab is actually crystalline- something that I was not aware of until I looked at the picture. My eyes aren't what they used to be. 😐  |
