I think he's referring to what you and I would call a "spinny" thingy on top of a kind of "magnet" thingy... Now there you go, getting all technical on us.

Beautiful rock and cabs!! Gorgeous colors. Definitely make it spinable, be a shame to hide away either side. Also, miket & jasoninsd - Get your terms right, it's a "thingamajig on a doodad." Tsk tsk

Tsk tsk Thanks! And Oh, growing up in South Dakota and marrying a farm girl, I'm very familiar with terms like oofdah (the sound made for anything exerting effort), kitty-wompass (for diagonal), it's pronounced "crick" not "creek", and generally thingamabob is synonymous with thingamajig (unless it's a doohicky)!

Don't leave out whatchamagiggers, doodads, whangdoodles and veeblefitzers! I wanted to say thanks for understanding I was only poking fun earlier. I am truly amazed and sometimes in awe of your vast knowledge and intellect you're willing to put forth in your posts. This forum is truly blessed you're willing to share your knowledge base! Thank you for having a sense of humor to go along with your "smarts".

I'm just waiting on burrs and wire. There's still rocks to hound, rocks to tumble, rocks to sort, slabs to cut, cabs to preform....oh and a garage that could sure use a good cleaning and organizing!

A month later and I finally finished shaping the last cab out of this rock- unless I find another piece of it on my workbench. I see in the pic I have a little bit more grinding on the bottom right corner then it should be done and ready to be polished. Thanks for looking.
