Here's number 3. Kind of funny, the dry looking spot in the upper left of the cab is actually crystalline- something that I was not aware of until I looked at the picture. My eyes aren't what they used to be. π Thatβs how I usually find any scratches: take a picture and post it. ππ€¬

I know, Brent, right? I'm sure smarter people here on RTH can explain how the completely different patterns formed on both the inside and the outside of the agate and then got surrounded by the host matrix ( 1dave and others...). I'm just glad I took the time to move the hundreds of pounds of rocks that I did to find it! You've got the process inside out, the matrix happened first, had a hole and crack that were filled with Silica solution, The outside Agate layer happens, sets then another layer, then another. Sometimes the Silica doesn't set to a gell and crystallises, so you get Quartz crystals. Simple.

I know some people don't like the crystals in the agates, but I think it adds amazing character! I love it! ps...been working on the house and was too pooped at night to add comments.

This one has a ways to go, I still need to flatten the back a little more. But I wanted to show both sides... Thanks for looking! Front Back

Holy cr....ud. That is beauty. It must have been hard to choose a front/back on that on. I probably wouldβve picked the same. Iβm a sucker for speckles.

You need to make this one a "spinner"...that way there's no front or back!

Thanks Ed! I decided to take Jason's advice on that last one- sort of. I think I'm going to dome both sides, then glue a finding on to make it a reversible pendant... π

GLUE? I was hoping for a reversing field cyclotron on a chain . . . Huh? π I think he's referring to what you and I would call a "spinny" thingy on top of a kind of "magnet" thingy...
