Hip hip hooray for family fun days!!! Right? Painfully too few of these over the last year. My son called in the morning and ordered us to get our butts out to his house because he had just come home with a mountain of fresh crab

That's an understatement. I'm going to have to sleep on it.

Great Googalee Moogalee! What a month of fantastic entries once again!!! I thought maybe the challenge of the small cab would deter the entry participation, but what an absolutely pleasant surprise to see seventeen entries. Entries from relatively newbies who are barely getting their feet wet to some experienced cabbers who had to knock the dust off their competition jackets before donning them once again. What a great end to the 2020 challenges! Now...the tough part will be choosing one amongst all these little buggers!

I don’t think it’s fair that you have to be in it to win it. I just want you to find me thirty or forty votes, Tommy, cause there’s no way I lose Ring Cab when I make one.

I'm actually happy to not win please and thank you. I'm telling myself that I'm holding my vote until near the end in case I am needed to break a tie - but in reality I can't make up my mind... I am happy just having a good showing - something that I haven't been able to do much of lately with my creations haha. They all seem like winners when they are still in my head or I probably wouldn't start grinding on them.

That reminds me of a guy I used to golf with...he used to look at me and say, "It all looked good until you swung." Doh!!! (Homer Simpson impression)

I'm not in it, so I hope this comment doesn't aggravate too many people.
I remember thinking the dimensions of many of these entries - I know they fit the parameters - would make them a really honkin' BIG ring.
The contest brought out lots of extremely nice cabs, so it's all good. Maybe I just need to update the ring design templates in my head. They're OLD.

I know mine is right at the limits of the dimensions and I wouldnt consider it a honking big ring, but it wouldnt be tiny either. I actually like this size for a ring, althoug I think the shape plays a big part of that. I have been seeing more and more really big rings that personally is not my style but they do well selling.

I know my entry was close to the limits of the boundaries for the contest... That being said, I remember some of the "rocks" my grandmother and her friends would typically wear for "everyday" rings and I'm thinking the parameters for the contest could've been almost doubled to accommodate their style! LOL Toward the end of her life, I thought she suffered from kyphosis...now I think it was just the weight of those boulders she wore causing the problem! (For the record...the part about the rings was accurate, but that last part I exercised a little poetic license! )
