I'm neither confirming nor denying your wife's statement... 😁 You are really doing well, I think putting in the time is paying off! Keep up the good work, sir. Thanks Mike! I hope the luck continues! Oh HELL YES!
Gorgeous finds!
Thanks Robin! It's been quite a few "whoot whoot" moments here recently with these Teepees!

jasoninsd Nice TeePees. Thanks for the Bag Balm memory. We used it a lot on the farm when I was a child. Since I was little, maybe when I was 5-8 years old, I would have the task of doing some hand milking. Also notifying my Uncle and Grandpa, if any of the cows I milked had sore udders. We only had 2 milking machines. They were used for about 6 cows in the AM and PM. Any cows with sore udders were hand milked. It was my job to apply the udder cream to the cows. Still do not know why I was never kicked by the cows when doing this.

Those are some amazing finds. It looks like they’re pretty fracture-free, too

Maybe your donation of blood to the area is pleasing the gods and you're being rewarded with treasure.
I think you were right, with every new fortification I see I want more.
Out of the material you're bringing back what is your percentage of good guys to bad guys? Do you get skunked on the bad ones or is there just not big or good patterns in it?

It looks like they’re pretty fracture-free, too Thanks Stephan! Thanks for noticing that. I meant to mention how fracture free these were. It was an added bonus and surprise. You might be right about the blood sacrifice...maybe I need to start doing that when searching for Fairburns! LOL Good question about the percentage. I went through all the slabs the other day and sorted them into A-grade ("definite keepers"), B-grade (ones that if I had no others I'd still cab them), and C-grade (fracture filled or minor fortifications - like earring size pieces). I'd say 50% is C-grade, 25% is B-grade, and 25% is A-grade.

Jesse, I went through the last batch of about six gallons of rough over the last couple days. This is the resulting slabs out of all of that material. I'd say there was about a 1/2 gallon of highly fractured nodules that weren't worth cutting...so, say this came from "around" five gallons. The slabs on the left are the C-grade material...stuff I don't want to spend the time cabbing, maybe fractured to the point only earring sized material is there, or it has very little fortifications. The slabs in the middle are B-grade. Ones that are okay and if I had no other Teepee Canyon Agates to work, I'd be okay with working them. The fortifications aren't the best, but definitely better than the C-grade. The stuff on the right is A-grade...and some definite "specimen" pieces that I'd rate (for what that's worth LOL) as A+++ grade. So, out of this particular batch the percentages favored the better material...by a slight margin...but still around the 50/50 mark when you add in the other fractured nodules not pictured.

Beautiful cab, Jason! I really like the brilliant oranges and the speckles in the red. 😁 Thanks Mike! Some of the ones I have dopped up have some gorgeous colors to them...and I'm a bit excited to get started on them as well. I can't believe how many of the fortifications have those speckles in them - I think they're like "sprinkles" on an ice-cream cone on a hot day! LOL

Yep and you won't be going to the bull pen for awhile Of course I'm hoping for 15 home runs, but I think a couple might end up being in-field doubles. LOL

Ha ha jase Good ol Mo Rivera interesting !! Ya know Louis Gonzalez / D-Backs beat mo in one of the Greatest World Series ever played 7th game -bottom of the 9th. - D-back were behind by a run 2 outs and Mo’s on the mound! Big Trouble indeed! Then the New York Yankees wheels started coming off We were grinding out some hard phoenix balls Go Go Gonzlalez popped a soft pop fly over Jeter head as the ball landed ever so softly like a 32,000 cerium on soft leather rub left center infield Beatiful! Shine! Drove the run in from 3rd base Pandemonium! Maybe you recall ? if not watch the previews!
