Here's the lineup getting ready to be worked...fifteen Teepee Canyon Agates. And here's a cab I finished up last night. (Not one of the 15! ) I like the “line-up.” I expect we’ll see more awesomeness soon. That finished cab is quite... (thinking of a synonym for awesome...)... ... ... ah, yes, majestic! Thanks Stephan! I definitely hoping for a better than 50% return of awesomeness on those next 15! LOL I wish I could take better pictures...the one fortification band is practically transparent and really allows a "depth" to the entire fortification portion of the cab.

I have another gallon ziplok bag full of slabs/slabbettes which already have the stencils on - just waiting for me to cut the preforms. I don't think I'll be at a loss for Teepee cabs anytime soon! LOL - People might start getting tired of seeing this thread bumped! LOL

If you, jasoninsd, however, get tired of fortifications, I think you have at least half a dozen people who are willing to sacrifice and help you out.

Holy cow Jason that is a beautiful Teepee cab you have there! I can't wait to see what the other 15 that are resting on the railing are hiding. I'm surprised you went to sleep last night and didn't just rip through those cabs. Maybe until you get better at taking pictures that show us the true depth and beauty of the cab, we should do a group pass around of the cabs. I'll be first on the list, just let me know who to send it to next... Hmmm, I seem to have already lost their address. I thought that the dark section had some black in it, but after you saying that about the depth, I'm thinking it's just shadows created in the depth of the fortification?

I actually did start working on two of them last night! LOL - I just ground them on the 80 grit - I might work on them again tonight. Before I came on board with the forum, there used to be a traveling box of slabs. It was a take a couple, leave a couple, make a cab and pass it on. Something like that. I thought it was a pretty cool idea! Yeah, there are no dark fortifications in this piece. I do have a couple slabs that do have some dark fortifications in the mix though.

Nice thread and excellent material..... I have some Tee Pee material gifted to me from an old member on this site before he pasted away "Jake" out of South Dakota.. It was the last box of material I got from him and with his old 6" trim saw in the box too... I will see if I can pull up the material in my photos somewhere... Why settle for winning the lottery once or twice when you can win every week? I was at an auction last weekend...and then the Rock Swap today. I saw most of the prices people wanted on the Teepees. So, I'd say it's a darn close second to Fairburns when comparing to a lottery! LOL

Here's two of the fifteen I had dopped up the other day. I finished these up last night. The first one had more fracture issues than I thought there were going to be...but I still love the pattern and overall cab. The second one was a bit of a unique one (for my finds). I love the characteristics in this one.

The sock puppet with eyes in the second one adds character.

I've got quite a few with fracture issues also, but I still like them. These look great!
