The sock puppet with eyes in the second one adds character. I've looked several times and I don't see Lambchop! I've got quite a few with fracture issues also, but I still like them. These look great! Thanks Mike! I like them too. And like Stephan says...Wabi Sabi! The second one is a wicked piece!! đź‘Ś Thanks Mike! It's so much different than the "norm" of the red tones on the fortifications...I can't help but love this one a little more! LOL I've got some other "out of the norm" ones coming up also...

Beautiful! Outstanding cabs and photos! Those freckles fortifications are so cool. Thanks Brian! I'm seeing a lot of the speckles in this material...or at least the stuff I've collected. Speaking of collecting, I'm probably going to head up there tomorrow...it's not like I don't have enough material or anything - and most likely again next Monday! LOL

I just can't give up on it unless it splits...you know how it is! I know you're dreaming about digging/finding these bad boys Man those stones are speaking millions deep crystalline lines well done display ! Thanks Ed! My wife's favorite is the one with the druzy pocket. I just keep liking these more and more every day...any of them!

Love these! I'm a sucker for orange and those deliver! Thank you so much! I'm really partial to all the red tones in most of these. However, add a little yellow into the mix and "BAM" the orange tones come out...and then I become partial to orange!

Here's some cabs I finished up today. Again, the first one had a bunch of fractures... Druzy, fortifications with speckles and orbs. Ding, ding, ding -- we have a winner!
They're all great, but this one is amazing!

I'm not sure I can pick a favorite one, they all look freakin amazing! That last one looks like one of those moving art sand flip pictures frozen in time.
I know you've probably mentioned it and I've most likely read/asked it already, but what do you use for your macro shots? They look so good, I can't stop going back for another look.

The sock puppet with eyes in the second one adds character. My imagination is a heck of a lot darker than yours. I see a fiery efreet. jasoninsd both of those look great. The second one takes it, though.

Druzy orbifications? Really, now. That’s a little over top, don’t you think?

Thanks Robin! I'd have to say this one definitely turned out great...and I think this one's my favorite of the bunch. Thanks Jesse! That last one has SO much color and so many different things going on in the cab, it's pretty amazing. For my macros...my phone camera won't take good macros. So, I zoom in 2x and put my loupe over the camera lens. It takes some fiddling with the light to get it right. And then trying to hold the loupe to the lens while trying to get the camera in focus is a pain...and then finally snapping the shot is an adventure as well. LOL I bought a cheap clip on magnifying lens that's supposed to work for your phone camera, but the pics were all fisheye. This seems to work pretty well. Not as good as the guys showing their shots in the macro thread though. Druzy orbifications? Really, now. That’s a little over top, don’t you think? Thanks Stephan! I know right?!? I couldn't just choose which one to highlight in this cab, so I just threw everything into the punch bowl!

Here's some cabs I finished up today. Again, the first one had a bunch of fractures... These two shots are especially amazing — they really have Daliesque disintegration thing going on.

That sounds like a difficult way to get a picture, but they look great, so... Good luck with your Teepee hunting tomorrow! I hope you find some better looking agates than these!

Here's some cabs I finished up today. Again, the first one had a bunch of fractures... These two shots are especially amazing — they really have Daliesque disintegration thing going on. They really kind of do, don't they!?! I almost tagged you in these because of the speckles...but I figured you'd notice them. That sounds like a difficult way to get a picture, but they look great, so... Good luck with your Teepee hunting tomorrow! I hope you find some better looking agates than these! I made it sound more complicated than it is...kinda. LOL - It's just a balancing act with holding the loupe with my pointer finger and trying to not breathe when I'm trying to get the picture taken! LOL Thanks for the wish of luck tomorrow. That's exactly what I told my wife...I just want some better than the "last ones"! LOL (And that will work for the next time...and the next time...ad nauseam... LOL)
