On my way to 40 now. Louisiana smelled like burnt wires and Texas smells like oil and asphalt.

Napping 😴 in a rest stop in New Mexico. Smells better already, lol. brybryJust came home from 10 months in New Mexico on a nursing assignment. Be careful going through Albuquerque, they drive like your life doesn't matter (please, no offense to our New Mexico members). I've been told that the officers also sit west of Querque and if you like Dennys they have one in a truck stop out there. My husband said it is the first exit past Unser blvd. If needed there are showers there. Safe travels the rest of the way. Sandia Mountain is gorgeous at sunset, never seen it at sunrise.

Rockoonz - I just looked back through this thread at all the stuff that had to come out of that little shed. Jeeeez, what a pile of metal and muck! You should post a couple of the "deconstruction" photos you took.
Okay, heres some from day 2 of 2. I should have took some the first day. Pretty much what we had at the start of day 2, about the time we figured out that we should have used the pump to remove the oil. What a 36" blade looks like in a 4'x8' trailer. Vice carriage is leaning against the back, as big as some saws are all by itself. The shed that barely contained the saw. 2nd load on the way home

Those folks are a Jeff Foxworthy you might be a redneck joke in the worst way possible.

Well the 24" saw has a new home. I know it's going to be very happy and busy living in Georgia. It was great meeting you brybry! Hopefully we'll be meeting again in the future. Safe travels and have fun hounding Burro Creek and Dobell Ranch.

Yep, brybry, I was also happy that saw went to a good home - not at this address. Would've been too much work required to feed that thing...!
Rockoonz - Hook Brybry up with the vise jack details you came up with. The 24" needs one.
Happy Hounding to the two of you at Burro Creek.

Be careful out there Giving it a shot BUT you shoulda rode shotgun today getting into Burro Creek. Couple spots you could've just about stuck your head out the window and looked down more than a few hundred feet to the bottom. RTH members I got the pleasure of meeting and or hanging out with Hummingbirdstones & Hummingbirdstones2 Rockoonz Drocknut Drocknut's boyfriend but don't know his screen name Nowyo & his wife It has been a pleasure and quite the trip. Spent the day rockhounding with Rockoonz and ran into Drocknut and her gang towards the end. I've had a blast.

You're obviously up north somewhere. Sorry it snowed on you. We have rain, but Mingus Mtn. has snow on it. Looks like it's suppose to rain on and off all day (high of only 50 here). Are you still planning on going to Dobell Ranch today?

Yep it was definitely good times hounding With you, brybry . Hope Dobell was good to you, and you ran a check at the weigh station to make sure all is good. Good to see drocknut Diane and Frank along with nowyo Russ and his bride. Looking forward to a reciprocal visit sometime soon, I hope, and of course all are welcome on rancho de la rocha any time.
