Dang Tela, you nailed those! (Oh wait...you drilled them! LOL) (When I was in high school, those two terms were synonymous. LOL) Seriously though, those are beautiful and I bet they're going to be very welcomed gifts this year.

I'm almost finished, but it will take some time to do all the LOS. My one daughter loves copper and those neutral tones. The silver is going to different people and I have 2 or 3 silver wraps yet to go. I already boxed up a slew of stuff- mostly earrings. Each box has many items in it.
hummingbirdstones As we discussed somewhere earlier- I LOSed the copper brick and it was UGLY with a capital U. I had to go back and repolish it. I am leaving it as is. So, I chose to drill it rather than wrap it.
I found a YT tutorial for that front hole bail that is really good, quick and easy. Turns out the guy is an old member here, though I don't remember his screen name. I got some nice chrysocolla from him, though.

Thanks Ed. I've only posted a fraction of what I've made. Everyone, even the males, are getting lots of jewelry. I haven't made so much in a very long time.

Beautiful gifts. I love the Septarian. Thanks, Beth. My daughter absolutely fell in love with it when I cabbed it. I have the other half of it to finish. It's a lot of work, but I think it's worth it. I didn't cab the earring stones. Those I purchased eons ago. They aren't finished as well as the cab is, but I wanted her to have the set, so I cut off the silver they were wrapped in.

I think the copper brick looks great just the way it is. I hope the LOS polished off pretty easy. Great stuff you made there, Tela!

thanks! I like it as is, too. I dipped the bail in LOS and didn't hit the stone with it. Looks good. Yeah, I tried one of Sunshine cloths new cloths, which has more of a bite, but that didn't do it. I went with 600 through on the wheels.

They are lovely Tela. Your work is inspirational, a lot of thought put into the details as well...I hope to do something like these in the near future.

Awesome! I would forget someone with my luck... I just saw you previous post and thought I saw turquoise in bronze. I've got a tiny slab of that I'm to scare to cut up. If you don't mind me asking, do you have any tips for cabbing it? Sorry for being annoying.

But, from what I know, it is really easy to cab. It's basically resin.

Ooohhhh! I love what you did with that one. I like the way the front wire comes out and ends at those top binding wires. Nice!

One big lapis to go... count down till Christmas. It's gonna be warm today, but with all the company coming I really, really need to mop, etc. Ugh. I'd rather be cabbing.
