Technically not "found", but this was a new piece of Nethers Flint thru a week in coarse. Has a sweet window and some Sharpie markings. Thought it was worth taking a snap of in case it wore away...
Any ideas on what would create a jet black marking?

   Few finds from Yermo today, I went up Mule Canyon too but it got too slick from the recent rains, still managed to find a few things at about the 2-1/2 mile mark. There's a couple chunks of goodness right there!!  |

Been kind of feening (is that a real word  ) for a local place to supplant my spot back in Michigan So I've been going over google maps the last couple of days and started scouting out dry riverbeds on this river about 5 mins from me. It runs smack dab thru residential and most of the spots I was hoping would have a clear path are right in someones back yard, so I'll have to consider my options this summer when I can access the water a little easier and in warmer weather.... Plus I've run into a couple of homeless tent camps, not ready to tackle that problem just yet. Anyway, it's nice to rockhound again. I think I enjoy it more than buying fancy stuff and tumbling, those are just nice little perks of the hobby. Nothing crazy, found a fat piece of epidote I'll probably throw back and a nice piece of chinese writing stone that'll I'll likely tumble.
Don't know if this is what's considered "Sunstone" around these parts, but it's different than the rest for sure. Wouldn't call it banding, but there is some kind of less opaque layer in the middle, not sure if I should roll it or not...
  
When the temps climb, I'll be wading further in and should be able to cross at safe spots. Looks like this river moves faster than I'd prefer right now.

Not found yesterday but Fairly recently, out at my inlaws here in frio county. Here is 2 angles on the same chonk   And one angle on a big old crystalline rock of some kind  |

 Here is a more recent find. I found this at my usual finding spot here in Moore on Saturday while Cowboying with the family. I think the best idea would be to lap the sides and bottom and leave the top, but I don't have the equipment to do that so I will probably cut it as carefully as I can and tumble it or maybe part of it. |

I honestly wouldn't know, and until I get a new blade on my tile saw we shan't know, also which rock? the larger one is about the size of a 6lb bowling ball(like a kid sized ball) and the more crystalline one is a little bigger than a softball I put a Quarter on them and take better pictures this afternoon |
