Cool stuff Donnie. The last two are fire agate. It sure does look awesome slabbed. I have done some like that, no other stone shows that type of banding with that wonderful root beer colors.

Did you use paypal? The seller should have a contact email. No email or address on the packing slip?

A hillbilly decides to go into town because he has never been there. He sees a mirror looks at it and says "wow theres a picture of daddy" and he buys it. He takes it home and remembered his wife hated his dad so he hung it in the barn. As the hillbilly makes way too many stops at the barn his wife decides to go out see what was happening out there, she sees the mirror and says "so thats the bitch hes been messing around with!"

Thank you so much everyone. I just cut and shaped the nodules until there were no fractures or pits and then I refined the shape a little. The second one had 1/4" taken off the top and 3/16" off one side until I got into solid material. Steve and Stoner have posted so many awesome Lagunas that I had to buy some. Now I'm hooked and I can't wait to get more!!!

Gotta be the blade Greg. I used a .30 blade in my 10" slab saw for two years. (1977 Star Diamond, well worn). On the harder rocks the blade actually got pushed over to the edge of the slot in the table and ground it wider in that spot on both sides. After some cuts, the blade was smoking and was totally pushed into the table slot. The slabs did have a slight taper of 1-2mm.
I tried to align things and the only thing that worked for me was to go to a .40 blade. The stiffer blade keeps things much more even and I did not adjust anything, just the thicker blade and making sure the vice starts in the middle of it's "wiggle" Your vice should be nice and tight though. It's not that much thicker and the waste is minimal.

Thank you all for your kind comments ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) My photo set-up is two Bluemax daylight compact florescent 18w, a tripod and a Nikon coolpix 995. The clamp style light holders came from home depot and used to have metal reflectors (didn't work as well that way). The cab holder is a piece of wood with a slab taped 90 degrees and covered with black material. ![](http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff225/fishenman/DSCN5092.jpg) Geoff

Thanks everybody. He said it was mined years ago in big Hugh chunks, mentioned somebody's name in conjunction with the Laguna mine. I wish I paid more attention. I may get to the next show he is at and ask more about it. He also mentioned the climate in Mexico with the cartel violence happening, like snuffy is talking about.
