I would love to help with ID's but these can be from so many places, it is hard to be sure of a guess. If I were to try, I would say your shuttikite may be in there but I would call it chrysocola. It has a mix in it. Your moss could be anything but it looks like some murry mountain moss I have. The picture jasper I am no sure of a location but it is a nice one! I love them all though, great job! Fran

I do freeforms from time to time. They are the best stress relievers after work when I don't have to pay close attention to the shape I want to obtain and let the stone do it's thing. I have at a minimum 200 cabs at various stages of grinding...I get sidetracked by another pretty one easily and start in. I am going to make an effort to finish some this weekend. Fran

That is about the neatest pattern in Serpentine I have ever seen! OK, now I suspect your first slab is Amethyst Sage. It has an opal rind but that amethyst with dendrites is really gemmy! You will get some beautiful cabs out of that one! Fran

You have done some beautiful work here! Don't worry about the piranha Having those scratches, it is just little pits all the way through. Polish it up and be done. just the nature of some stones. Fran

Sweet batch of cabs and preforms! I have cases cut out and ready to go. I then can't wait to cut newer material and rarely get anything finished these days. Looks like you have a whole lot done! That is great! Fran

Texas flint, Porcelain jaspers, Brazillians and I always find any picture jasper is hard on my saws. Lots of backing up the cut and letting it start at it again to get through or it will cause the slab to try and ride up my blade.

Thanks Ya'll,
The hardest thing about our move to the other acquired company is that I can't take my break and make comments at this web site anymore....All monitored now. Well, I will have to go and do some homework. I have been given some additional duties and it is a large learning curve with many stumbling blocks along the way. I have been taking lots of notes and need to get them organized so I am on the ball tomorrow morning. Fran

Well, I will say this. I can tell they are beautiful but you need to put them on a solid background so they really pop! I am looking forward to seeing them when she finishes! She is really doing great right off the bat! Fran

What a beautiful batch! I especially love the saginite you did in the second picture and on your tray of cabs; how large are some of those? Love the amethyst sage(?) on the left bottom! Fran

I am not sure what it is Dan. It was an extra slab that Maryann threw in the box on my last order and some of the patterns are really neat. I can't help but think it is a rhyolite due to the dark areas. Fran
