Very nice Snuffy! That is a lot of slabs. Any chance of a group shot showing them all? That would be inspiring. Now I have to label, name and price each slab and keep them organized.Maybe get a group shot next week when the 2 final lotos are done. snuffy

I'm still tumbling, just haven't been posting pics. Have rolled out 15 12lb barrels of small slabs the last three 6 week cycles.Close to a thousand slabs.I'll take a few months off after 2 more loto loads. This is 2 loto's worth done today Tried to get a good angle to show the shine, gave up. These are the earlier part of this cycle separated Thanks for looking snuffy

I would guess the barrel is very hard rubber now after sitting for years.Might need heavy scuffing. At least that's what happened to me with a 45c.

Sometimes I have to take a piece of sandpaper and and roughen up the roller as its turning with barrel off. Also have to rough up the barrel sometimes as they get slick and no traction. This is on my 12lb barrels, don't know about the small one.Same principle should apply!

Your garden looks really nice and am sure will provide a lot of produce. I would like to be a little closer when the cantaloupes start to ripen. My early peach (Florida Dawn) ripened two weeks early and is now preserved for future enjoyment. Snuffy, I use the large plastic grape containers with the snap corners to cover peaches to keep the birds off. They are time consuming but might work better than bird net on the blackberries if you want the totally ripe. I draped bird netting over them last year.Plum and peaches too.Worked pretty well.Always something else wants to eat what a person raises. snuffy

Everything is busting loose here.Plenty rain, warming up.Been gardening now 42 years, first time ever picking ripe tomatoes in April.Squash, cucumbers, new potatoes and onions picked yesterday. Plenty dill for my pickles,6 foot high.Early girl tomatoes on the left, frost didn't hurt them. Cucumbers on the climb Full of blooms Bird house gourds climbing. My two groups of pm gourds Looks like my first year is a success.Love these birds! Some of the onions.Won't have to buy any for a while. Thornless blackberries turning red.Gotta beat the birds to them. Thanks for looking snuffy

Finally needed some more oil for the saws. Went to Tractor Supply and they had it for $26.99 a five gallon bucket. All I have ever used in my saws is the hydraulic fluid. Cheap enough. I know some don't like to use it,but I've never had a problem with it.

Hey Jim I put yellow and blue ones in my Koi Pond and they multiply so fast but I started with half blue and yellow mixed up. They have over the years all turned yellow. Is yellow the dominant? I love yhem, they r in the high swamp area of my little pond, it's only about 2 by 5 feet. But in the high shallow area r lots of iris and I use a pump to put the water into a kettle that sprinkles the water into the swamp. It works as a grest filter and my water stays clear enough to see the koi/goldfish. Yes I went to the petstore when I first got it finished to get koi. I asked the guy there what the difference between koi and goldfish was? He laughed and said about $20!!! So every so often I go buy 10 lil feeder goldfish. They r 10 for a dollar but if you pick them out they double. So for $2 I get 10 spotted goldfish. The coons enjoy sitting on the side and fishing so I have to buy more every so often! LOL I get my "koi" from the bait store!! snuffy

Nothing wrong with that! It's what I use to cut some slabs in half and trim.Did good by getting the warranty, use it like heck and if it plays out,get another one.

Garden is looking great Snuffy! When you say some tomatoes got dehorned what do you mean? We have our first few tomatoes growing, largest is about the size of a shooter marble. Just harvested a bunch of spinach this morning. Put in squash a few weeks back. Been enjoying this I meant the tops got killed off by the frost,I trimmed all the dead foliage off the tops.Dehorned old ranching term!! snuffy

I'm running three 12lb Lortones with all slabs and slabbettes. Put a lb of 80 grit and run for 18-21 days normally without opening, then on to Lotos.

Barite is soft. 2.5-3.5. Does it scratch with.... Say... Marble or steel? Im saying I guess it wont. No,this is a hard jasper type.Thats also one reason to doubt barite.

I put one like this on here years ago.It was id'ed as possibly a barite nodule. But I've been searching and it doesn't really resemble the pics I've seen. Any help appreciated.Gonna cut slices to polish and take to the rock shop.Would like to label correctly. All the centers of them that I've cut are a purplish color Thanks snuffy

They must have changed from 50lbs to 45lbs since the last time I bought some, unless I'm entirely mistaken.Post office probably didn't appreciate the bulging flatraters, and they did bulge.

All that fencing indicates you may have a food security issue with your neighbours. Deer? You will be harvesting by the time we start planting towards the end of May. Post veggie photos along with your rocks. Darryl. Gotta keep the cows out! A deer can hop this fence easily.Usually no problem with the deer. Also 16 ft. cattle panels make a quick easy fence. snuffy
