Scott, that black and white doesn't look "plumey" enough to be the material from Wyoming if you're thinking of the Medicine Bow material. I have a cab that I wrapped of that and it had more distinctive plumes. I could be wrong though. Thats the one my dear. Medicine Bow. I have a hunk that is similar to snuffys. Here is a small slab I took out of polish a few minutes ago. snuffy

Last one is Rio Grande rhyolite. The kiddoes bring in a lot of that by mistake, thinking it's jasper. Some is banded and some is kind of orbicular....Mel Thanks Mel.

its possible the black & white is diorite but that material is suppose to be really hard this is combo I made with ballarat from rockjunquie & what I thought was diorite... Ed,looks like pics I see of diorite.Hard, but is fine grained,no inclusions.

This would be a good start for a beginning tumbler. A large variety of agates jaspers, palm, mookaite, snowflake obsidian for example.Probably be more added to stuff the box full.20 lbs or more in a medium fr box. $35 shipped,US,paypal. Puts it around a $1 a lb before shipping. Pic taken wet Thanks, snuffy

It's been a good while since I've posted tumbles.Got the tumblers rolling now making these to take to the rock shop.Tried my best to show the shine, but my camera isn't taking good photos in the shade,my preference. The shine is there. These are a couple of Lot-o batches. Mookaite Tiger iron and banded jasper Pet palm Carnelian rolling with the slabs, dino bone, and a piece of amethyst Crazy lace Brazilians Gary Green,Turitella,Rainforest jasper. Thanks for looking!Have a great day!! snuffy

Mostly I'm curious how your equipment never walked off while you were not around!

Very cool! I love tektites. I'm always watching for one of those greenish bediasites that they find down in the pet wood area of Texas. No luck yet though *L*.....Mel The strewn field is a few miles from me for the Bediasites. I have never found one,but need to keep my eyes open if I ever rockhound again. snuffy
