Having worked in the sheetmetal field for almost 20 years I can relate slightly to this post lol. Most of my home shop equipment is more on the machining side though lathes etc. but I would def be in the market for a press like that should I find one locally.

One of my customers was happy with their purchase and sent me a free box of rocks. Well let's see......it's April 23 and it's snowing with ice out so they showed up on a good day. I feel better already.

Much of this environment talk sounds like UN agenda 21. It's hard telling what kind of crap these idiots in charge are planning. Everyone seems to think this is so much more a civilized placed and things in history would just know way ever happen again. Anyone taken a look at how many people got wiped out in Iraq lately?

Here's a camp a couple miles down the road. I generally get a little uneasy when they break out the black robes and druid hoodies lol. Been there a couple times, overall nice people but very whacky weed friendly and wary of strangers. They used to send out mailings to the locals but for whatever reason aren't very welcome in a farming community lol imagine that. www.campgaea.org/forums/festivals.php?do=view&festival=14

Some of the newer Covington slab saws like the 16" with powerfeed cut at 12" per hour. That would explain the jamming if you are cutting hard material. Even Steve at Covington told me years ago that if you were cutting agate that 5" per hour is a safe speed. Takes forever but doesn't tear your blade up etc. I assume no one would ever want to buy a saw that cuts at 5" per hour lol. If you don't want to go to the trouble of using a worm gear for the feed there's the option of using a DC gearmotor that you can use with a ac to dc converter and then you can have speed control as well. Of course that gadget will cost you $100 if you can't build it yourself.

Sad to say but I don't trust anyone. Let's be realistic here, over 100k dead in Iraq for what? There's major global crap going on. I don't want to piss anyone off here I just don't think it's a bad idea to consider ideas other than fox news.

Certainly feels like the ice age is coming here in Kansas im still burning wood. I like the links suggestion to lay in food and guns etc like that matters under 2 miles of ice lol.
There's nothing that can be done about it but people like Gore will get rich convincing you other wise. Never let a good crisis go to waste.

That Rocks 10" by Polaris is NICE. A used LS10 would be a good option also and get it at a fair price you could afford it and a trim saw for the cost of a new covington 10". I had a covington 10" that was brand new, I never used it. I took one look at it and sold it as fast as possible as I foreseen the problems mentioned here without wasting my time.

Guess my vivid imagination is kicking in, the non painted side looks like a horse running for it's life and you can see the tornado right behind, the brown barn and the yellow house to the left. Never woulda guessed trains lol. Pretty cool though. I can't draw a circle so im not good at judging artwork.

Horrible. As if things aren't crazy enough. With all that's going on overseas I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened more.
Mental note to self: Anytime you are near 'practice drills' with bomb sniffing dogs you might want to leave the area.
True story: I worked on a secret project on Ft.Leavenworth (so secret im telling you about it lol) and one of the Ironworkers decided to light an M80 on a crane platform for kicks. The MP's confinscated the entire crane as evidence, questioned everyone, and then we were told to go back to work. Minutes later they showed up in our work area with bomb sniffing dogs. I got the ass award of the day for confronting them and telling them if you didn't expect explosives, you wouldn't be looking for them right? So just why in the hell isn't this area evacuated? After a few sparks flew out of their ears they shut the job down. I was one of the first guys laid off that project.

Every sunday it's the same thing. We both go, we have to get 2 carts because of all the animals. I'm done in 20 minutes, she's still in aisle 1.
Thanks for condom idea. I might actually use that one.

That's about the age I lost interests in my fairly expensive rock collection, several pieces of equipment, and sold it off for race go karts soon followed by a car and chasing girls. I had a rich rockhound uncle that gave me everything. When he died they gave all his stuff away cause I was busy elsewhere. Wasn't till about 20 years later I realized what a screwup that was.

I'm no electronics genius, but it looks like the tag says it is 0.5 HP, not 1.2

I still insist there's a connection between 9% approval ratings, millions of unemployed and trillions in debt vs. gun control. I'm not sure how they can make such a huge deal over a couple dz children and killing hundreds of thousands in Iraq is a non-event? There is serious crap going on in this world, as usual, nothing ever changes it seems. Must just be human nature. Get rid of one group and it's not long before the new group is screwing you over one way or another.

I'm still trying to figure out how all the investors are going to get 1k monthly rents in places like Detroit. LOL.
I've studied the economy for hours a day for the last 10+ years, which really means nothing as our most respected economist are idiots, but I do tend to take the pessimistic side from what I know. It didn't work the first time, it won't work the 2nd time. It's just more BS to keep the gov't ponzi flowing like the subprime auto and BS student loan program in which the gov't shouldn't even be involved in.
Everyone thinks todays little stock market burp was because of the so-called sudden realization that employment sucks(pretty sure there's a few million that already know that) and in reality it was the mere mention of the FED saying it might start winding down QE this summer. This economy is on total life support and will NEVER stand on it's own. And that's how im preparing accordingly. Do what you want.

Don't forget about such fantastic technology like Google armbands where their employees will be required to wear 24/7 for such things as health care costs. If you go to the ice cream parlor after work you'll be getting a letter soon telling you you're at risk of getting fat and could face a possible increase in premiums. No kidding.

It's my belief that the US bailouts only delayed the inevitable. The whole financial system is still insolvent. It was papered over and imo made things worse. The big crash is still coming. Hopefully not but that's what im thinking.
