Exactly, I knew I wasn't going crazy. Fine and dandy if you aren't planning leaving the house for the day. My other gripes for the day are having MasterChef pumping Walmart's produce and meat department. What? I have never gotten anything there that resembles the TV show. I'm afraid of getting ecoli just walking thru the product dept let alone buying anything. I also think they are purposely trying to get people used to eating inferior stuff. I won't buy produce or meat there. I have 6 dogs so I get stuff like that there. Poor dogs lol.

I was going to say an attorney might be in order. Some people will come clean with just the threat of a UPS investigation.

Usless piece of garbage probably not worth the shipping costs. Huge electrical accident in waiting to boot. Don't waste $ on this POC. (piece of crap, the forum friendly abbr.)

My old crockpot finally shot craps. I bought a new one, used it once and it got the lid broke. I noticed it cooked way faster. At any rate as cheap as they are I went and bought another one of a different mfg. Put in a roast at 7am on low and it was already black and tencer by noon and boiling over.
I can't imagine leaving for work and coming home at 5pm with one of these things.
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this? I suppose I could spend more $ and get the digital one with a timer. I'm thinking people today don't have the patience for a crockpot.
Maybe im just imagining things I don't know.

Well thank god you at least had them packed by the UPS store because the biggest way of UPS getting out of claims is improper packing. Even if it was improperly packed it's their fault.
This will most likely result in a long drawn out process with you being the one taking the brunt of the bs--at least for the time being. So here we again with insurance issues. Insurance is great until you need it.
Odd that 2 items going to separate places got broken, most likely the packers didn't know how to handle such an expensive and fragile item. Sometimes they laugh at me for my packages because I go overboard sometimes. This is why.
Other unfort thing is if UPS pays these claims it's possible they will ban you from ever purchasing insurance again. You're gona have a hell of time convincing them 2 separate things got broke. Right or wrong trying to get $ out of UPS is worse than going to the dentist.
Well good luck let us know how this fiasco turns out.

Cool. Been wanting to go thru there for awhile now. Last time I was in Texas I tried the 72oz steak challenge in Amarillo. What a disaster that was. I ended up eating like 1 side out of 5 and 60oz of the steak which wasn't bad considering I was on my 2nd pitcher of beer. We were so full we spent the night onsite in their last room and we were prepared to just sleep in the parking lot because we were so full. Mental note: don't try that without preparing for it. I won't be trying it again im currently working on losing weight lol. Speaking of which it's time to go get my bloodhound Waylon up for our 5 mile daily walk and sniff. That dog will be the death of me yet.

That AR15 arbor doesn't have a keyway which complicates things and you may have to use locktite. Also Covington had issues with that shaft because it was overly hardened making the setscrew difficult to get a good bite. They have since resolved that somewhat. Also oil mist getting on the shaft doesn't help.

LOL I didn't really think you were seriously considering it. Still pretty cool to read about though. I've seen rockhounds come up with some pretty wild things. Kinda like my idea of taking a junk lawnmower and turning it upside down and making a flat lap out of it. You would remove the piston and use the motor itself as the arbor. Next thing you know there will be a lawnmower engine screwed to the side of someones homemade saw. LOL.

"On July 5, 2011 our son was accidentally electrocuted to death in our driveway. He was building, what we and the police believe to be this apparatus. The last website on his computer was this one and there was a microwave oven that was partially disassembled on his bed. He was not wearing gloves. He was 20 years old and is expecting a baby. The loss we have suffered is great. We feel that your site minimized the actual danger involved when working with such a powerful high voltage piece of equipment. Your warning disclaimer was followed by the statement: "That said, try this at home!". Further down your site states "Invite your non-hardware oriented pals to help dissect your donor appliances." Twenty year-olds tend to see themselves as invincible, and danger and death sometimes doesn't seem real to them. Your statement, "You could die...", really did happen- to our son."
Rather or not that's true I don't know. Cool project but better left to someone that knows electrical real well not just someone following directions. Also, didn't look like there was any way to regulate the voltage? Arc welders use variable current for steel thicknesses. The site doesn't mention that used stick welders can often go for $75-$125. Also you mentioned you can't weld and trying to learn with this mess is impossible lol.
Not trying to rain on your parade lol. I like to build stuff myself and here's a charcoal furnace that I actually built and used per the Gingery series(this is not my video):
Until you melt briggs and stratton engines in a bonfire and transform them into biscuit ingots you're really missing out lol.

Something else to consider: 20" blade $150.00, motor $100, arbor and bearings and flanges $100 minimum, steel $100(have you considered the big shafts? if you dont have a steel shop your gona get raped), misc $100 easily if you pay attention to where the moneys going, you're now up to $550.00 for something that might not work that good. Unless your very mechanical you'd be better off saving your $ and being on the lookout for used.

Yes it's possible. I could do it, but I couldn't really go into exact details there's too many variables---namely dimensions. You'll be doing a lot of drilling. Problem is since you have no design you could spend countless hours building what amounts to a useless piece of crap and have to start over. Also I hope you have a drill press?
I could build you the entire assembly, per my specs for $125+shipping. Which I realize you're not wanting to go this route and I am rather busy at the moment.
Also, even though I said I could build it without welding that's a project I will never do lol.

Well the sun never broke out, didn't get super warm like they said and been windy as heck so didn't do anything with the gun today. I take care of my elder dad who has increased problems lately and by the time I was done with him I was wiped out anyhow. I'll get pics of all this one of these days. Maybe spring, lol. I seriously doubt I'll be able to wait that long.

"Any official, agent or employee of the United States government who enforces or attempts to enforce any act, order, law, statute, rule or regulation of the United States government upon a personal firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition that is owned or manufactured… in Wyoming… shall be guilty of a FELONY and, upon conviction, shall be subject to imprisonment for not less than one year…"
Pretty sure this has just passed but need to look into it. If you want to get lectured on your freedoms getting taken away you should visit my 80 year old barber for a haircut sometime.

I totally agree with armed guards at public schools. Hell back in 1988 a group of thugs from Leavenworth that had a drug deal gone bad with a couple students at my high school came to our school during the day, entered the school, beat up several people and one of my best friends ended up dead. No guns were involved. BTW some of the larger schools have been using rentacops for many years now.

It will bring $200 on ebay if you'll ship it. If you want to sell it locally ask $100 and accept $75. Don't bother getting extra discs for it you'll just lose money, sell it as is.
