Miss Ali did great, she cleaned out my middle desk drawer of all the scrap laying in there to make her pieces.

Kind of looks like a Dalmatian type jasper

I would lay it down on something you know is true flat, then peen it with a hammer and if its close to the diamond switch to the dead blow. I have straightened a couple like that. Never tried it on a segmented blade though.

Here is one I thought about slicing, but decided against it for now. Found on my land, which should not have anything like that on it. Is very light for size. About 3". Doesn't look much like a thunder egg to me. I see a lot of concretions cemented together in the pit that look like this. Some of the lightning stones are cemented together also. I say cut it to solve the mystery.

Oh, yes. I have some that I will never be able to bear cutting because the outer shells are so weirdly beautiful. Some look like alien life forms, some look organic, some look like sculptures, and every one is different and each area has shells that differ (more reliable to ID locale from the shell than from the agate/jasper/opal inside). If the shell is deteriorated or broken, those I don't hesitate to cut. Is there a catalog of shells and the location they are from. I run across eggs at estate sales and haven't a clue other than they are thunder eggs.

The Magnesite looks like What they call Wild Horse which is of course Magnesite. I think it comes from one of the reservations in AZ. Pretty hard to find. Nice score, on all.

Great cab. Awesome pendant. Good job handling the bezel on those pointed areas. Chuck Thanks Chuck, I really don't like points on cabs but know a few tricks that work most of the time.

Billy, that is absolutely gorgeous! I love the very clean lines with just a touch of schmantsy pantsy bail to set off that cab. I like when you say schmantsy pantsy. Thank you.

Listen to the rock. The rock knows its destiny. It will guide you in fulfilling that.
I say cut it.

Very nice rings! I'm still enamored with that new technique- the name of which I'll never remember, but I did save the vid for when I start torching again. Soon, hopefully. Castellated is the forgettable name, and thank you

That's a beautiful ring, toiv0 ! Love Burro Creek material.
I got my new tool yesterday! Haven't tried it out yet as I'm struggling with salvaging something I messed up last year and I'm having a creative mental block every time I look at it.
Next one up with have this handy dandy serrated bezel technique. Thanks again for sharing the tool with us!
I understand the mental block, I have had pieces on my desk partial finished for years before I get the ah ha moment.

Nice design, I struggle to get a clean solder when I tin the smaller pieces. My flux seems to always get Dirty and am always changing it out.Dirty silver, dirty flux, dirty torch tip, oils from skin, and like they said above over heating need to be looked at.
