Nice and quick all that was needed was a number to pick. stonemon hit the back wall with his guess almost knocked it out of the park. fernwood I would say knocked a good double after the short fielder missed the ball and NDK limped in after being walked to 1st base.🤣 hope you three share what you get with us. Thanks everyone that played.

One never knows what they will find at markets. Perseverance pays off. Good for you. Thrill of the hunt. And I don’t even have to pull a trigger and I have shelf trophies.🤣

Wholly moley~ that's a great find. If someone comes from CSpgs, where did he go to, thus, where are you?? Which flea market do you frequent...I might have to go there! I am about 40 miles south in Pueblo Co. when you go a person has to look for things that can’t be seen and ask the sellers questions. A guy was set up one Saturday and he had a small piece of what looked like Tiffany stone with deep purple druzy. A small piece well worth 2$. I looked around and seen no more rocks but his trunk was open and me being me knowing you never know, I ask do you mind if I look in your trunk? He looked at me a little weird but said yes. I found a beautiful half polished Australian thunder egg. This gives you an idea of how well I look. My wife thinks I’m crazy. I think it’s fun.

Wow what a find. I would be beyond happy with that box. Great score for you. I am always thankful for good deals I find and this was a blessing to add to my needful things. This machine is solid as F model F that is I thought my other one was older but this is it’s grandpa.🤣

every Saturday I go to my local flea market, most of the time come home empty handed. But on occasion you find some cool. Several nice additions to my bench, the funny thing is I had been wanting to buy a ring/bracelet mandrel. Thought they where a bit much. So there is a guy that comes from Colorado Springs he always has lots of junk for sale by the box and tote fulls, so you have to buy the box or tote. I bought this box for 50$. I didn’t even try to haggle the guy. In this box was a bunch of soft solder blocks some new charcoal blocks and a stainless steel wire forming jig. A plastic ring holder with leather jaws seems to be good. A steel ring and bracelet mandrel, a alright dop block set with lots of sizes a core drill with a bunch of bits it might be a Covington? And a older model F foredom with foot switch both units work great.all of this stuff I can definitely put to use. Finds like this is why I make it a point to be one of the first people out there on Saturday. My kind of deal, what a great score! Good things come to he who waits. (And at a much lesser price, I might add!) Oh how I love great scores. Especially when I can really use it.👍

I found this at the goodwill there. and this is the game. One guess each 3 winners closest to or right on it. please try not to pick the same numbers any one from anywhere can play game is on until I post stop this evening. I will determine the winners . what you get is a chance to pick one of three small flat rate box of goodies.first place picks first and so on. Two boxes will have rocks 1 will be a dud. Do you want to play? Guess the number of baseballs in this tote.PLAY BALL!

For those who don’t have a busy home will never really know , there is nothing like that the still of the night. My wife tells me I can work on my stuff earlier. I just make excuses not to . We have 4 younger kids we are in the process of adopting and our two grand kids are here often. That is to much to leave her with , occasionally I will put in some time but not often. The kids are very well behaved but it can be super busy at time with 3 little boys that are 16 months 18 months an two. Our baby boy and two grandkids?
Yes, you certainly have a full and busy house. I know, kids are kids even when they are well behaved, they are still kids. I had a full house and young kids when I was going through college as a single mom. Now, the grandkids are older, but I put my soldering stuff away quite a few years ago because I wasn't comfortable soldering with so much going on around me.
I really have a lot of respect for you for being so much help to your wife. Moms need the help.
I really hope you get it out some day . Even if it just for 1 piece.

Great job on all of them. Love the details in the ring.
I know exactly what you mean! I usually get my best work done at night when it's quiet and I am exhausted. I play some techno ambient- Groove salad on SomaFM and go until like 3 or 4 and then get to bed when DH is getting up. I don't have a day job, though. Nothing like the still of the night...

Nice work and that ring is beautiful. I really like your double hidden bail — just two solder joints and pried apart it gives you a heart shape — very clever! I told my wife I wanted to put a heart bail on it but didn’t know exactly how, so I figured it was worth a shot. Thank you.

Well, my wife read this thread and told me "just buy it", so I left a message with the seller. Hopefully he still has it. Renew your vows because she is special.🤩

Nice , you guy’s really have the luck nice finds. I am headed up that way in a couple weeks . I added 2 days to our trip this year to go rock hounding. Palmer gulch is becoming one of our annual summer trips. I tried to plan our trip on the nicest week. But summer weather in South Dakota can be unpredictable. Nice. I'm not sure where that is, I'll have to look it up. Are you sure two days is enough? 😁 It never is. We are going to be there a week. Palmer Gulch is near keystone. The KOA there is top notch. Plenty of things to to for the kids and grandkids. Not to mention I think it is in a great location. Super clean and the staff is on top of things 100%, last summer we didn’t get to hound . But this year two days are planned for just that.

So I don’t know, my brain is scattered, my time stretched to it’s limits , summer is craziest time of year around my home. But I try to fit in time for metal and rocks at the end of the day. When everyone is at rest kids tired from playing and a quietness settles in. I tune in my radio to some classic rock. And then I get tired make mistakes but get through the night sometimes until 2-3 in the morning if I don’t set a reminder alarm. Here is a couple of my attempts. I had been wanting to make a big ring and here it is. The pendant is about 1 1/4”x1”. I made the ring with silver and a bit of scrap 10k scrap gold. I thought I would share this hidden bail I made for the pendant. It was truly inspired by love. Made from a double half round wire from rio. I shaped the wire soldered it on cut it then bent it open. I really been enjoying learning how to work with silver. Thanks for looking.

Again very nice I have yet to make a pair of earrings. But recently I ran into a friend he is an older Native American man. I showed him some of what I have been doing and he asked for a pair of earrings. So this may be my first pair. What size wire do you recommend for the ear wires?
