Geez jamesp, that is the biggest poison ivy vine I've seen. I must not be sensitive to it cause it's never bothered me. Know what you mean about cutting down bamboo, wicked stuff.

I'll PM you her phone #, tell her all the cool kids have one... Cliff is a better smooth talker than I am , he is probably the guy for that job . No wait , he will talk her out of all your rocks , not all bad because I will get half . Might be time for a buy Mike a slab saw fundraiser . coloradocliff could donate some nice asphalt specimens and I have some real nice basalt that could go to a good cause like a new saw .

Scott, doesn't have any of the graininess of granite & much harder. Maybe a jaspagate? Ok! Although the quartz portion of granite is harder than agate and feldspar is same as agate 6.5 ETA If it's granite it's fine grained. Still I'm not certain. Just offering ideas Scott, PM me your address & I'll send you the rock at no cost. Cut a slab & see what you think. Don't want you to send any back to me just post a picture & results? Cool ?

The one next to the baseball is certainly a breccia. The other one is something else. Perhaps a granite that tumbles well or a dense plume agate? Scott, doesn't have any of the graininess of granite & much harder. Maybe a jaspagate?

Think Mike uses a tile saw don't he Rich? Here's the rock similar to yours Mike. Brecciated and with some sparklies hiding. Afraid to cut it and have it blow up in the saw. Doesn't look healed all the way.
My rock's bigger Cliff, must be genetics...Hope the knee heals fast, you don't seem the type to sit around.

Found this the other day, about 10lbs. Found the rock on the left a few months ago. These 2 pieces came off it.Would make some killer slabs/cabs.

Awesome batch & photos Jeremy. The pics are so good you need to use a lint free cloth on the rocks. I have no such problem with my pics.....

Great batch and shine. Really like the two shown in picture #5. And extra points for self collected. Thanks for sharing!! Thanks Dave, those are 2 pieces I chipped off a big 20lb rock. Wish that had been one of the rocks I sent to catmandewe to slab.

MrMike , the first and last ones remind me of some of the pegmatites that I have cut from North Carolina (Sinkhole and Ray mines). But I have not been so lucky to find the dentritic ones. Nice find for our land of limestone! Thanks Anne!
