This will be another product. Hot fusing hammered chunks that do not conform to tumbling dimensions. Today's cook. First try at small fusions in kiln. I think.
Those will make some sweet tumbles, jamesp!
I flattened and rounded em with heat Jean. before after

The bulk China bead scrap fuses el perfecto and most even have a flame polish finish, some cheap ass fuse able art glass right there. Some are broken millefiori. Some have metal hematite like glass. No telling what them folks used for coloring agents. Non-standard glass colors. Thanks for that link MsAli. var. "Vintage White Marbles" (glass fusers would have a heart attack knowing I cooked stray glass) i'll blow that kiln up before it's over. before after

Keep the desired end size in mind - ring stones, pendants, enemy body weights . . .

Looks like that worked nicely........................................MrP Saved a whole lot of tumbling abrasives and more importantly improved to pendant shape el perfecto Michael. 1.5 pounds. little kiln. Only 4 of 8 shelves used. Could have packed double the amount of glass per shelf and doubled the amount of shelves, learning.

Keep the desired end size in mind - ring stones, pendants, enemy body weights . . . Another very fancy hand blown vase picked up for a song cracked. Probably the finest glass blowers in China. Threw a pendant size and a few niblets in early on to see results. Vase weighed 11 pounds, so it was giant. For every pendant sized piece there is bits and pieces for earrings rings bracelets that I don't post photos of. fantastic5Sample of SDS Seapoot

My hands are shredded from handling broken glass. Shoveled out four 60 gallon plastic drums in to 5 gallon buckets yesterday. Should be 600 pounds/barrel. Truck front end aimed toward sky, Toyota, no problem. Glass to be put in 3 to 5 plant pots and laid out in rows on an old gravel covered plant growing field for easy picking. From plants to pots of glass. Glass blower has been told to come get what he needs for his projects. Easier for him to pick thru being spears out in open.

So MsAli Alison. I spent the morning washing several hundred 10" X 7" tall plant pots to put the glass in on and set them out on a gravel field in neat aisles. Janke had to have his boys go dig in 60 gallon barrels to get project glass on occasion. Now I will have all his glass spread out 120 long and 15 feet wide in these shallow buckets. Told him he our his boys can come down and get whatever they need. For instance if he needs to turn a clear pot of molten clear glass turned blue it only takes a baseball sized chunk of cobalt glass to do the trick. I will set a sorting table out there. And a screening table for washing it. Water supply there. This space was a plant growing operation. Me and worker got 2 more heavy loads to get. We hit gold mines in every barrel, shards of his fine vases and shades throughout.

Your going to laugh but with so many art glass makers going out of business I could have a pick-your-own usable glass farm. The EPA also cracked down on the colored glass makers for pollution issues, insisting on scrubbers and other pollution preventatives. Price is going up up.

108 three gallon pots @ 16 pounds each = 1728 pounds 14 bags of clear glass @ 38 pounds each = 532 pounds Total glass picked up yesterday is 2260 pounds, truck was way over. About 2 more loads like this from this glass blower. Lerio brand nursery containers good for 15 to 20 years in the sun.

Makes me sad to see some of the companies going out of business.
