Great photos! You could blow that regency rose up, frame it, and have a nice wall hanging. I have 4 (sort of) similar photos in my computer room and I really like them.

Great batch Bill! I like your creativity and sense of humor! ("Mangling wire" around stones - LOL!) I think it's neat that you find most of your own stones. That gives the pieces a more personal value.

Nice assortment Gary! My favorite is the Cady Mt. It would be interesting to see that first one with a pearl in it.
Edit: I just saw the photo with the pearl. Cool.

You've got some beautiful cabs here! I like them all, but I really like the "giraffe stone/giraffite" because of the bright yellow in it. I looked for some yellow stones to make some leaf cabs but couldn't find any.

That's a beautiful creation! The cab looks 3-D, and you have really tight joints. I don't think you need any guidance on making rectangular cabs - this one looks great. The hard part on any large cab that I do is trying not to touch the adjacent wheels and putting a gouge in my cab (I use a Genie).

"Still interested in knowing the "Stone". A friend faceted a glass marble and it looked similar however, I don't think that's it. Thanks"

It's a special dichroic glass from China. I Don't think they make it in the U.S. At least I haven't seen it for sale here.

Those are really nice! I've never seen shapes like that, very cool. Thanks Don! You probably won't find these shapes on a rock template (if you do, please PM me!)

Nice collaboration. The setting and stone are perfect together. Thanks Beth! Like an old friend told me once, "Two heads are better than one, even if one is cabbage."

mossyrockhound that is stunning! Great collaborative effort on both sides. Thanks Robin! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. This was made for my wife a few months ago, but up to now it has not been worn. I think I've just given her too much jewelry or she's just waiting for Christmas!

I dabbled with PMC enough to know I suck at it. It ain't easy. She has to be pretty good to pull that beauty off.
Y'all make a good team. Thanks Tella! She is good at PMC, especially considering that she is quite new at it. She worked hard on this one - even built me a mock-up out of bronze before doing the silver. The prongs were especially challenging since the silver is brittle after baking off the clay, so they had a tendency to break. She eventually contacted one of the experts at Rio Grande to get it figured out. BTW, I can't imagine you not being good at this. You seem to excell in everything else you try.

Beautiful, PMC is awesome in the right hands. What type of "Stone" is it? I have read the post a few times. Thanks irlcjrohr! Think I'll let people guess on the "stone" for awhile.
