I have lots and lots and lots of pet wood. More than you could shake a stick at Are you looking for slabs or rough? I would be interested in trading wood for yooperlites that are big and symmetrical to make spheres.

I would pass if it has aluminum pans. Cast iron or steel have a longer operating life and machinists may be more willing to turn them true again. I like having a couple different sizes of pans as I don't always have enough thundereggs or agates to fill the large pans

Change the angles of the shafts so they point down. With your current method of pointing up, the slurry will run down the shaft and destroy the bushings or bearing.

I have lots of pendant size carving Wisconsin Jaspers, but they are more the color of baby poop than bright orange, lol. More a yellow orange. If you want to do bats, I have lots of black chert. I will send a message through FB. I would like to see what color you have. Dull orange would be ok.

WTB or trade for various solid colors of agate or jasper that I can cut for for intarsia borders.
I have basanite to trade. Basanite makes great backing for intarsia, doublets, triplets, and intarsia borders. Also, other agates and jaspers available.

We have an open schedule from late May in to early Sept. The Calgary show is late OCT. The Edmonton show is late April. Neither of these shows work well with my wife's college schedule. I see the lethbridgegemshow.com show is early June.

If you were traveling from Washington State to the Royal Tyrrell Museum, what rock shops, shows, museums, attractions, etc would you include on the trip?

What is the going rate for polishing slabs of agate, jasper, or petrified wood? I'm looking for a price per square inch.

They are diamond electroplated flat laps. You would hold them in place with the nut in the center of your lap. "heavy handed" refers to added pressure for hard grinding wearing out the laps faster, essentially knocking the diamonds off the lap. Have a good water flush.
My laps have lasted 2 to 3 years. I used them to remove saw marks before going in the vibrating laps.

I have been told that it is a synthetic quartz that was made for NASA. However, it has a conchoidal fracture. The manufacturer is somewhere in western Oregon. Occasionally, I will see end cuts and corners available for sale starting at $3/lb. It is great material for doublet and triplet caps.
