Knives illegal without permit in Romania? How do you cut your cheese, or onions, or sandwich meats? adrian65 I was joking. But in every joke there is some truth. I don't know exactly for Romania, but here in Serbia it is illegal to carry a knife with a blade longer than 12 cm (a bit shorter than 5 inch).

Fabulous! Extremely interesting. Love it. But my friend, as much as I know, in Romania you need to have a permit for this cold weapon.

Good work, KD. Beautiful cabs. I love cutting Lapis. It's beautiful stone with lots of history, and while grinding it colors water in that beautiful blue.

Congrats on nearing the end of years of difficult study! It's a amazing achievement. Beautiful carving, I like the lines and finish. The tip would worry me if it hits anything hard. Thank you, spokanetim. You are right about that tip, that is why I left it fairly thick, but it can not bee seen in the photo.

Hello, I back again. Actually I was never gone, only not active. It happened that I finishing a doctoral dissertation is more time consuming activity than I expected. At this moment my dissertation is approved by my mentors and now it is in process of passing trough different councils at my faculty and university, so I have time to work on my rocks Here is my first attempt at carving labradorite. I was a bit afraid that labradorite is a bit fragile for this type of processing but it appeared to be unfounded fear. Furthermore it polishes easy. Here it is 47x22mm Thanks for looking. Zoran

Thank you, all! Adrian, you are right and you are right, both times - for jewelry bug, totally and for pyramid, well, partly. I didn't dig pyramid (although, I would like to) :-), but scarab is made in accordance with ancient Egypt motifs. Scarab has very rich symbolism, and not only in ancient Egypt but also in early Christianity, as well as in some other old cultures. Charlie, I did the faceting, also. Thank you, again. Zoran

Oh, I am so sorry, I missed you here in Beograd, John. I hope you had nice trip through Serbia.
You could choose between hot or cold shower but I would recommend cold beer - one is enough
(box of beer, that is) :-) On your way back you are not passing through Belgrade again?
Ha, ha! Adrian, so that is how you explain vanishing of Ţuică. Nice try, my friend, but somehow I doubt that Ina believe in your evaporation theory :-) .

Respect!!! John, You are doing something really special. I envy you. :-) Is this Orient-Express route? Do you, by any chance, passing through Belgrade? I see that after Adrian's hospitality you wouldn't pass anti-doping test. :-) Adrain, is it homemade Ţuică on your table?
My guess is 1296 miles in 15 days. Zoran

Ed, you really do what is the essence of lapidary - enhancing natural beauty of stone. Zoran
