Great cabs - shapes and choices of material. I am only not too fond of synthetic materials. My favorite from this group of cabs is carnelian. Zoran

Thank you all. Stasha, my older daughter, is fully recovered. Thank you. Frane, I also hope that she is never going to have a broken anything, for her sake and her parents too. :-) I am also very satisfied with how workshop turned out. I was afraid if everything is going to fit in, and that I am going to be able to enter in workshop and possibly sit in a chair :-). Only compromise I had to make is that I had to get my rocks in the seller. Although, all of my slabs are in the workshop, on the shelves under the workbench. That cover for the saw turned out pretty useful. That saw sprays water a lot, which is not a problem if you have separate workspace for the saw, but when you have to work your silver work next to the saw, on the same bench, it's a problem. That cover completely solved the problem. Zoran

Thank you all, very much. I am glad that you like them. Adrian, you are right, they, all three of them, are my inspiration. But, sometimes, if I want to create something, I need to close the door and separate myself from my inspirations. They know to be too inspirational, from time to time. :cheesy: "Spokanetim", If you want, you can see how my workshop looks like in this thread: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=Pictures&action=display&thread=35667. Thank you. Zoran

My new creations from my new workshop. Ruby with Opal (Madagascar). Covellite (Serbia) in oxidized silver. Agate (Serbia) and Tourmaline. Aventurine. Irradiated Topaz (Brazil). I didn't cut the stone (colleague of mine brought the stone from his trip to Brazil) I just did the silver work. Thanks for looking. Zoran

During this summer I had to move out from my previous workshop. I didn't know where to move all my machines, tools and rocks. My wife had an idea to try to make a workshop out of our balcony. It is a very small balcony but I figure it that it could be made. Lack of space is drawback but if I can manage to make it work everything else is going to be an improvement. All in all I had a very busy summer. Except for the door and windows, everything else I did myself - isolation (thermal and sound), drywalls, paint job, electricity, flooring, workbench, shelfs... So here are the results. Firstly, before I made a mess. My wife insisted on those little lamps. We also had one brocken hand this summer. Still not a mess. Then it started. It is messy but I like it better that way :-) Thanks for looking. Zoran

...for not being here as much as I wanted, so the best way to redeem myself is to post some new pictures. So, here are some of my recent ones. Natural engraved Brazilian citrine and Hungarian fire opal. Without iridescence. Engraved amethyst and chrysoprase Amethyst looks better in vivo. I posted that faceted rock crystal brilliant earlier and here is what I did whit it. Quartz is accompanied with adventurine and lapis. Hungarian fire opal. It is pretty small. Cab is around 1cm. This is reincarnation of a set I made earlier. Black jade and ruby. Nacozari turquoise. Back Nacozari Turquoise again Nacozari Turquoise scarab. I tried to make it in old Egyptian style. Scarab and Malaya garnet. Thanks for looking. Zoran

Thank you all very much. I still do not have time to participate at RTH but I do try to check what is going on. Thesis is going slowly, but there is a progress - only right now I need to move my workshop. So, free time - what is it? Do not forget me - "I'll be back". Thanks once again for birthday wishes. I had relaxed evening with a small group of dear friends and family. Zoran

Great work so far, Jack. Regarding getting cabs from wooden dop sticks, without using dissolvent or heat, I use this method: saw off wooden sticks just beneath cab with jewelers saw or some similar saw. Then I just send the bottom of the cab to remove the leftovers of glue and stick. Since jewelers saw is very thin it very slightly reduces the length of wooden stick and you and you can use it for a long time. Hope this helps. Zoran
