The stuff I'm visualizing would be better described as a Sun Catcher.

I thought about it way too much and had a clear drawing before I started. Once I had stripped all the insulation off of the wire, it took a little over an hour to build. I have been getting ideas for Window Ornaments as opposed to jewelry.
I really think this would be great with a colored glass disk inside . . .

There is 8 feet of the smaller telephone wire wrapped into this. It weighs 23 grams total, so a little on the heavy side I think. This would be better for hanging in the window than for wearing.
gmitch067 Yes I was trying to hide the wire ends but, well, I couldn't see it. I really need one of those adjustable magnified lights that clamp onto a table. With a magnifier and a little work I could make this piece much better looking.
rockjunquie Thank you very much, If I can impress You, then I feel like I did something. It's easy for me to think of new designs now that I am embracing this industrial sized 12 ga copper wire.
Pat The rock is held in place by the tension of the wire, this pulls In on the entire circle. If the top two main wires don't line up exactly, they will release the tension and the rock will slide a little. If I build this again there will be a few changes to make it all stronger.

I have been wanting to make some Wire Wraps but have been having trouble coming up with a good idea for it. Started thinking about it today and about 8 ideas came at the same time. The force was strong with this one and I had to make one of them today. I am quite the electrician so I went out to my shop and got some 12 ga house wiring plus telephone and Ethernet wire. stripped off the plastic insulation and away I went. A bit abstract and not completely awful for the first time Side 1 Side 2 In hand for size comparison, Two inches in diameter. Note to Self - Purchase a lighted magnifying glass.

I built the tabletop 30 inches tall which is normal height for any sitdown table like the one in your kitchen, but this has proven to be to short with some stress in my back and neck after working over it for an hour. Next version will be normal kitchen counter height which seems to be 36 inches. The settlement tank that recovers the grit is a plastic kitchen storage container. It sits outside in the Sunlight all day and the plastic is starting to breakdown and become brittle. I'm now looking for something more durable, like a long metal breadpan. It will be a little more trouble to punch the drain hole into but not a big deal Here is a picture of the setup from this morning

----- W O W ----- In 3 weeks I will have been a member for 1 year. I signed up on here within an hour of ordering my first tumbler on Amazon, it arrived in the mail on December 24th. I tumbled a bunch of dud rocks that night just to see it doing something. Y'all have been a great help getting started, "I are a expurt now".

Finally getting a coupla batches polished that included rocks from Salty Nut Brewery This is everything from a 6 pound barrel that were finished Sunday a week ago, Most of this stuff is from the brewery. These polished out very shiny. Here is a closeup of the best ones. The orange one in the center was a gift from the Local Rock People when I joined the club. I think it is a coral ? I found these white rocks out behind the brewery where someone had dumped them from some decorations. They were very soft and rounded well in 1 week of 46/70 in small three pound barrel. Some glass was rolling along with the rocks. None of it polished past a good sheen.
