Have sections for all 3 types of rock. Anything fossilized is a hit as well as neat colors and patterns or things that have shapes like Crystals or galena. Rocks from locales can be a theme as well as rocks with stories related to them.

I pick up all the affordable slabs I find. The 160 dollar slabs I leave behind. I seem to get excellent cabs out of the 10 dollar slabs they are just a quarter of the size.

it is interesting that there is so much variation, for a rock from a small region. I have been fortunate finding affordable slabs. You should see the chunk that's sitting on my dresser. I cannot bring myself to cut it Collected in the 50's by my dads friend nice. I have a slab that was given to my dad by Mr Bingham. No way can I work it either.

Amazing that you found a piece of Kaleidoscope that didn't crumble to pieces. Great job on that! that was the reason I went with a square to reduce the stresses while working it.
