Okay...I had NO clue what to do for this one! I saw susand24224 's comment this afternoon about the Celtic treble clef...so I looked that up. Well, I quickly saw why she didn't want to try that! LOL I did see a Celtic Knot with a heart...and figured what the heck. So, this evening I sat down and just started twisting wire! I had NO sketch...just an idea in my head. I think it turned out to be one of those "blind squirrel finds a nut" moments! LOL The "coin" is a replica coin I had when I was a kid...it's same size as a silver dollar...that's what I used to shape the curves. I used painter's tape to hold the Celtic Knot onto the heart "frame" on the back...then started tying them together. Definitely outside my wheelhouse...but it worked! LOL EDIT - The stone is either Petrified Wood...or Petrified Coral which I found out at Railroad Buttes. I've been told it's Pet Wood...but I'm convinced it's coral! LOL Damn Jason, that's amazing!! Isn't it cool when you have an idea and just sit down and knock it out? I love the little bead at the bottom. Thanks Tela! To be honest...I was a bit more than shocked it worked out! When I first started, I seriously had NO clue if the stone was going to be secure between the two frames...or if it was going to have movement and all be for naught! LOL My mom's birthday was Tuesday...so I took this over to her this morning and gave it to her for a b-day present. Try as a I might, I still jacked up the "weave" around the three wires right in the middle. You can see the pattern is different. I thought I had it right...but obviously I didn't...so this isn't one I would've wanted to sell anyway...so mom got it! She'll never see the difference! LOL

You think you can't design, I think this wrap proves you CAN.

I'm sure you have rocks around there, just don't know of any that are lapidary materials. I've done some beach combing when I was younger but not in a long time. It is about the hunt though so I'm sure shells and fossils are fun to hunt too. I have a couple of rocks in mind for a wrap but I've rockhouded a lot of areas in the western US and only a few had green rocks. Maybe I need to go to some more places to get some green ones (good excuse, right?). Just limestone here and fossilized coral if you're lucky Sounds like a great excuse to go out rockhounding-
heck it's just spring (yesterday), not hot weather yet, the greenies are waiting, what are you waiting for ? Patty
That just means you need to take a rockhounding trip somewhere or get lucky and find some fossilized coral. Yes, it does sound like a great excuse to go out rockhounding especially since it isn't sweltering hot out here right now. The only problem is that we have gotten a lot of rain and the high country got lots of snow that's now melting and causing flooding everywhere including some places we want to go rockhounding. I don't have a boat or a wish to brave flood waters for a green rock..lol.

Sigh....... drocknut, OK I get it, you're going to have to settle for a different color rock for now, since the green ones are just being problematic out in the field.
I bet you might have one laying around, maybe under your pillow .
Funny, we went boating/fishing today at a lake 1.5 hrs north east of us (that had NO fish BTW) & as we motored around an island I actually saw a rock face on the island (although I think it was likely limestone) ! Intriguing just the same.

jasoninsd Your wrap is really interesting. I’m impressed by the clean smooth curves. Very nice. And I like how you tied the wraps together. Really different and cool.👍

I hate to be THAT guy, but I simply can not find my rock anywhere. While I hate that I'll miss the first challenge- not finding my special rock is even worse. I know exactly what I was gonna do with it.
