Most of you know that I've not been feeling well for sometime now. I think we are finally on our way to finding the problem, or at least I hope so. I had a CT scan on Tuesday, got the "news" today.
I have a growth on my adrenal gland above my right kidney and some lymph nodes that are swollen. They were going to biopsy it tomorrow but have to wait a week because of the ibuprofen I've been taking for a bad tooth. So, I get to think and pray about it until next Thursday.
If you have any extra prayers hanging around, maybe you could use them to talk to the big guy about this.

Sending you some positive vibes Cher! Keeping yourself and mind busy is a great idea and it does work. When you find yourself thinking or worrying about it, find your favorite rock because of the way it feels! Keep rubbing it and these negative thoughts will fade away.

Cher..I too am looking at a liver biopsy sometime in January...have to see the doc on Jan 12th. I see the eye surgeon on the 3rd of Jan to get that scheduled...it is hard to not think and worry about these things but just keep trying. Worrying will not change anything..just make it worse. It is real easy to say "don't worry" but we both know it won't happen..so go ahead and think about what is to come...but do so with a positive attitude.

God is with you no matter what. Try not to worry, because it won't help anyway. You are in my prayers.

That sucks. It's a shame you have to worry for a week before you find out what's up. Here's hoping that your best Christmas present is an "all clear".

Cher- and Pho- Please stay positive (I know not easy) and trust that the good Lord never hands us more than we can handle- In times like this you need to stay strong and pray! I am reminded of the Footprints Poem- when you see one set of footprints at the lowest times of your life- it is then that the Lord is carrying you- Hang in there (Pho too!) and prayers go out to you both!

Thanks everyone. Your thoughts and prayers mean so much to me and must be working already. The hospital called with some instructions and moved me up a day to Wednesday.

Sorry for not seeing this post earlier!!! (I almost never go to this Life/Universe thread, not really sure why except for time constraints)
Anyways, in the spirit of the season, I put in a request for both you & Pho (and anyone else who may need it) for the gift of perfect health this holiday & throughout the coming new year.

You have my best wishes. I have a bit of an idea of what you are going through now. I was going to reply earlier but I, too, was waiting for results from my CT scan. Last May I had to have a kidney removed because it had a rather large malignant tumor in it. It was a surprise because I had no symptoms. I went to the doctor for other reasons but one thing led to another when finally the tumor was discovered. I had surgery in May and was off work for a bit over two months. There were some rough times at the beginning but now I am back to normal activity. The doctor's office called today to say that the most recent CT was all clear. The doctor wants to do a CT every six months and a chest xray and blood work in between. So far OK. I think now you are entering a dark tunnel but there is light at the end. So hang in there! Again, my best wishes, Wayne

Thank you Wayne, it's always welcome to hear the good reports. I'm so glad your results came back possitive for you. My mother is a two time survivor of cancer. Breast cancer 15 years ago, colon cancer 5 years ago. I'm using other's positive result to gather strength myself.
