I've read that several people are flying into San Antonio. Is anyone flying into El Paso - it's much closer. Susan

Susan, most of them flying into San Antonio are riding in with Blarneystone. He lives in Houston area. Those of us on the west side of the ranch will fly into El Paso where Condor can meet us. Where do you want to fly into?

If I can't find someone to drive with me from the southeast (Florida, Georgia, etc.) I will probably fly into El Paso. I'm checking on cheap airfares and will be stocking up on FRB's! If I fly in, I'd rather not haul along my tent and camping stuff but I can. I camp enough that I have it down to one backpack but that doesn't include cooking stuff.
Would anyone have room for me coming from El Paso? If so, I should probably work out more specific dates and details with them.

Susan - don't worry about the FRBs. Those of us driving can bring a case (or two).

Susan, I'll be flying into El Paso like I did the first time. If Condor won't be able to go next year, he said I could use his Explorer(Burrito). Just kidding Gil!!!! Seriously, if he won't be going, we could split the cost of a rental, and if we get one or two more people, that's be great. All I brought with me last time was a sleeping bag and a pillow, the cooking utensils and food were taken care of by people who drove. You could possibly mail any large items to someone who is driving and they will have them at the ranch for you, as was done last time. As the time gets closer, more details will be worked out.

Sounds great! I have to fly a gazillion miles so I definitely need to get the details settled relatively soon. Renting a car sounds like a good plan as long as we can moderately coordinate our arrival and departure. I'll probably just pack my backpack including sleeping bag and pillow since I'll stay in the cabin. I'm a relatively experienced camper so I travel light. Besides, gotta leave room for as many pounds of rocks as possible in my return checked baggage! ;D Then I'll start filling the FRB's. Darn airlines cut the amount per bag in HALF!!!
I still need to hear the story of the Green Burrito!

Hey Sheryl, Looks like I'm either committed (put me in the cabin) or SHOULD BE COMMITTED! One or the other. I'm working on driving arrangements and as soon as dates are set I'll book my flight. Yabadabadoooooh! Susan

And a few more thoughts..... Even tho I won't have cooking stuff along, I'm a pretty passable camping cook. I'd like to stay for as much of the week as I can make travel arrangements for and I'd be more than happy to help with meal arrangements. With careful planning, I might even bring our first meal with me on the plane!!! Susan

HI Susan, just bring what you can/need, the rest will be taken care of, thats the way it works. Besides town is only 18 miles away if we need it, don't worry about what you have or don't. We all know that flying in is a , well lets just say not ideal. Btw Sheri we will be up by the cabin somewhere so if i need to send something let me know.
I look forward to seeing old friends again and meeting new ones.

As of right now, we do not have enough people in the cabin. I.......may also not be able to attend! I start a new job and am not sure I can take the week off. We need at least 2 more people in the cabin! I will still do all the set up and arrangements!

Just to clarify - if we don't have the cabin, we also don't have electricity, right?

I think the stress of all the monkey-business associated with the pro-boards upgrade must be getting to Mark, Dorothy. Or have you guys been holding out on the rest of us and there really is a petting zoo at the Woodward Ranch?!?!?!?!?! ;D That really is some crazy metaphor mixing there though! Lady B
