I'm in as long as I can make driving arrangements with Stoner. I'm not exactly sure how to plan since it looks like there won't be enough people for the cabin. I hate to have to fly with my tent, sleeping bag, etc. I'd volunteer to take over in the planning but I'm way too far away and have never been on a trip like this before. Before making final plans and getting a plane reservation, I'd love to hear from someone that it's still on! Susan2

Just be that way Susan. Just keep on tempting me with those awesome WWR agate pictures. I probably won't be going, but those rocks are incredible. Even though I have my own, I just might make it a day's drive, and/or one night of camping just to collect, and be with you all fine folks again.

Well, I've been holding off until I was absolutely sure I was going to have to say this, but after looking at our financial situation, there's just no way I'm going to be able to make this trip. The extra padding we had from our 401k has run out and the cold hard reality of our house payments are starting to set in. Hell, I may even have to go back to work full time.
I Would like to make a suggestion at this time if I may. It seems to me that this is just not a good time for a lot of people to make this trip a reality for many different reasons, so why don't we chill and re-schedule for sometime in the fall before hunting season. I for one, would love to be able to go and share some good company with everyone who had planned on going but had to cancel, and maybe by trying for a later date this can still happen. What do you all think?

Looks like fall would be best for most everyone. Can we maybe start thinking about September? Susan

Fall might be best, but there's already talk of a fall trip to South Dakota in September. I'd hate to make people choose one over the other...

I agree all....I too was holding off until the last minute-was having trouble getting a guarantee of time off at work, and just spent a good chunk of what was set aside for this trip on VAN HALEN tickets for the family .....my 80's rocker chick 12 year old threw huge puppy-dog eyes at us when they announced a second show here in Dallas! So, Diamond Dave won out over WWR Agate! We can all save our TAX REBATES for a fall trip! Karen

Sorry guys - I have to back out as well. The server upgrade I've been pushing for ever since I came here just got approved...and I have to have it completed before the next executive committee meeting in three weeks. I guess I did too good of a job convincing them how desparately they needed to upgrade from Netware 5.1 and they want it done now. There's no way I can get this finished and trust the people here to not have problems if I slip away from work for a few days. Sorry guys. I was greatly looking forward to the hunt again.

To the best of my knowledge, this is the current list. It's going to be an interesting time!
Blarney Mailman, Silver Lass Rocky Raccoon and Company NMrocks and Fergie
ANYONE ELSE GOING? All are welcome! 8-)S
We'll miss you, Ronda.

Well I had the cash saved to go...but the stupid gas plant in Big Spring blew up causing gas prices to jump and I'v had to spend it all for gas to and from work. I really wanted to go and meet all! NMRocks that is one cute doggie...I did a double take my lil trooper looked just like your pup! Made my day, I lost all my photos of him! Thanks! AgateHeaven

i took no camera and no pics but the '08 trip was every bit as memorable as the '07 trip. i can only say that if you get a chance to go on this trip or any other trip, take it!
