It's based on the budget for Obama's full term, which ends Jan 20, 2013, whoever got voted into office. That's when the 'new' budget takes place, the one they're fighting about now? We're still working on the old unpassed budget from last year, where the bi-partisan commission could not come up with an agreement. And the year before. And the year before that, Etc. Etc. Can't blame it entirely on the other side, can you Helen. Remember your own word, bi-partisan. And what about the partisan Dem controlled years ?

Huh? The year before THAT, George Bush was President, and over 8 years put 2 wars on the Deficit (aka Credit Cards). No wonder you're confused! LOL!

Did you get that stupid from Fox news like the rest of your news:)? No, it rubbed off from the people I argue with on here. At least one thing good has come of all of this. I know who my real friends are. The ones who will have my back. Not the fair weather "friends". Helen, I have lots of people that I talk with on here, but only a very few that I trust enough to call friends. I'll leave it at that.

Well heck, I argue with you all the time, Don, but I DO consider you a friend. You may find this hard to believe, but I don't waste much time arguing with people I don't like. I just do not care what they think. And while I'm not 100% on the i dotting and the T crossings, if I take a side, it's a well researched side.

Don, I said, did you get that stupid from Fox News... ahhh... I see how you read it. Doh. I meant did you get that BIT of stupid news from Fox news, but I typed it too fast.
I did not call you stupid! 50% of the country reads the same thing you did and thinks the same things you think. It's not 'stupid' to believe them, they are printing stupid things and persuading people who read them to believe it.

Don't worry Helen. I won't bother myself with the political threads anymore. That doesn't mean I won't read them to see what's being said about me, but I have better and more important things to do, than being involved in a constant pissing match.

Well, more than half the fun I have arguing on these threads was because I enjoyed arguing with you. The reason I enjoy arguing with you is because I KNOW you are a good person, and think that if you'd only look at ALL the news, not just right or left wing news, you'd see that it's not as one sided as what you've been reading. I know I'll never get you to like Obama, but I hoped that you'd realize that he's not the horrible picture he's been painted, and that many of the things you've read about him simply are not true.
No one talks about you other than right here AT you. If you aren't talking, I'm not going to talk ABOUT you. But if I've even upset you, who likes to dish back, then I'm done with the politics too.
Discussions are fun for 2 reasons. You learn something, or you are enjoying the banter. If you can't do either, it's no longer fun. Thanks for the past fun:).

Helen, I think there were a few on the other side that had hoped for the same for Mittens. Ya might want to put yourself in the position of us 'losers' and ask yourself if Romney had won how open to accepting any notion of his virtues you would be, and if you would be feeling a tad irritable. . . it is good to review ones words to be sure the argument is not degraded into personal attacks, intentional or not, as that is always the end of 'fun' arguing. Considering all the news that will be coming out over the next while, I am guessing we will all be full of urine and vinegar again in no time. *self-edited for content, just don't have the same ring to that last sentence. lol

Bill, if you write it pi$$ it is ok. Haven't quite been able to figure it out but go figure. I get a little steamed sometimes but it is for a good cause. Our descendents, my and your grand children. I have a pretty low tolerance for people that are not concerned about what is happening on this one and only planet. I realize that the human race is going to go through a huge reversal but why should we help it along and be unconcerned about it if there are things that we can do to push that clock back. For a huge percentage of the American people the attitude is "instant gratification is not fast enough", "live for today and to hell with tomorrow". People should be able to live their lives as they wish as long as it does not interfere with someone else. Not taking care of the planet interferes with the quality of life of a whole lot of someone elses. I have pushed my views on this subject pretty hard on here but it has reached the point of "if they don't got it by now they are not going to got it" so I will no longer be pushing my agenda the same as ya'll. I am not accusing anyone of anything so please do not take it that way. I do not have a clue who got it and who don't got. I wish everyone happy days and happy rocks. The main reason we are here. Jim

Another statistical smokescreen by Helen *L* No matter how much you spend, if you are spending more than you take in, you are spending too dang much. Trillion dollar plus deficits keep the debt clock going up fast, and so far the POTUS has been pretty dang vague about what he's gonna do to cut spending and make the national debt go down or at least slow down. I might even start liking the guy if the clock starts going the other way. So far, the only thing going down since his re election is my 401K *L*....Mel
