Here's the Wiki on that: Soros later said that he grew up in a Jewish home and that his parents were cautious with their religious roots.[14] Soros was thirteen years old in March 1944 when Nazi Germany occupied Hungary.[15] Soros took a job with the Jewish Council, which had been established during the Nazi occupation of Hungary.
Soros later described this time to writer Michael Lewis: The Jewish Council asked the little kids to hand out the deportation notices. I was told to go to the Jewish Council. And there I was given these small slips of paper ... It said report to the rabbi seminary at 9 am ... And I was given this list of names. I took this piece of paper to my father. He instantly recognized it. This was a list of Hungarian Jewish lawyers. He said, "You deliver the slips of paper and tell the people that if they report they will be deported."[16] Soros was given the papers to WARN Hungarian Jewish lawyers (Soros father was a Hungarian Jewish lawyer) BY the Jewish Council so they could be warned to flee before the Germans could come get them. THIS is helping Germans round up his own people?

This is the relevant portion of the transcript (from the 20 December 1998 Soros interview broadcast on 60 Minutes:)
KROFT: (Voiceover) To understand the complexities and contradictions in his personality, you have to go back to the very beginning: to Budapest, where George Soros was born 68 years ago to parents who were wealthy, well-educated and Jewish.
When the Nazis occupied Budapest in 1944, George Soros' father was a successful lawyer. He lived on an island in the Danube and liked to commute to work in a rowboat. But knowing there were problems ahead for the Jews, he decided to split his family up. He bought them forged papers and he bribed a government official to take 14-year-old George Soros in and swear that he was his Christian godson. But survival carried a heavy price tag. While hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews were being shipped off to the death camps, George Soros accompanied his phony godfather on his appointed rounds, confiscating property from the Jews.
(Vintage footage of Jews walking in line; man dragging little boy in line)
KROFT: (Voiceover) These are pictures from 1944 of what happened to George Soros' friends and neighbors.
(Vintage footage of women and men with bags over their shoulders walking; crowd by a train)
KROFT: (Voiceover) You're a Hungarian Jew...
Mr. SOROS: (Voiceover) Mm-hmm.
KROFT: (Voiceover) ...who escaped the Holocaust...
(Vintage footage of women walking by train)
Mr. SOROS: (Voiceover) Mm-hmm.
(Vintage footage of people getting on train)
KROFT: (Voiceover) ... by -- by posing as a Christian.
Mr. SOROS: (Voiceover) Right.
(Vintage footage of women helping each other get on train; train door closing with people in boxcar)
KROFT: (Voiceover) And you watched lots of people get shipped off to the death camps.
Mr. SOROS: Right. I was 14 years old. And I would say that that's when my character was made.
KROFT: In what way?
Mr. SOROS: That one should think ahead. One should understand and -- and anticipate events and when -- when one is threatened. It was a tremendous threat of evil. I mean, it was a -- a very personal experience of evil.
KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.
Mr. SOROS: Yes. Yes.
KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.
Mr. SOROS: Yes. That's right. Yes.
KROFT: I mean, that's -- that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?
Mr. SOROS: Not -- not at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child you don't -- you don't see the connection. But it was -- it created no -- no problem at all.
KROFT: No feeling of guilt?
Mr. SOROS: No.
KROFT: For example that, 'I'm Jewish and here I am, watching these people go. I could just as easily be there. I should be there.' None of that?
Mr. SOROS: Well, of course I c -- I could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense that I shouldn't be there, because that was -- well, actually, in a funny way, it's just like in markets -- that if I weren't there -- of course, I wasn't doing it, but somebody else would -- would -- would be taking it away anyhow. And it was the -- whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So the -- I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.

You can read that and not see how his responses could be taken out of context completely?

Thanks Grey, I was looking for that interview. I could only find it on the old Glen Beck program. I didn't post it because most people think he is nuts. He maybe a little crazy, but he backs his words up with facts. Most people are just to lazy or ignorant to follow them facts up for themselves. Or in Helen's case it would go against her Democratic beliefs and training manuals. I say that because of her responses to what we posted about Soros. If she would have listened to one clip I posted she would have heard it in his own voice. How he "enjoyed" it, And was the happiest days of his life. But in her eyes he is a saint compared o the Koch brothers. A saint that almost bankrupted England and a number of other countries. Did you know he just made over a Billion short selling the yen. That won't make the news. George Soros 'makes $1.2bn betting against yen' Hedge fund billionaire bet against Japanese economy in the last three months, according to reports www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/feb/15/george-soros-bet-against-yen Helen you say the Koch's tried to buy the election. They might just have tried. But George just bough his second one for his boytoy Barry. His nickname is spooky dude for a reason.

Responses?
Say I ask you in an interview. So what's your favorite meat? And you answer ham! And I say, so what do you like about that meat? And you go on and on about what you like about pork and how you like it cooked.
Now, when I produce the video, I show a scene of someone being murdered, and then some cannibals in Borneo, and then some commentary about how you said you were a cannibal. Then played the sequence of questions that you answered about your favorite meat and how you liked it cooked.
Gee, you are now a cannibal! Amazing how that works.

U.S. crude oil production increased by almost 800,000 barrels/day from 2011 to 2012, the largest one-year increase since like . . . forever *. So howzat drill, baby, drill workin’ out for ya, baby? ;D * Not really forever. Just since the beginning of U.S. commercial crude oil production in 1859.

Rich, why don't you include the rest of the story. You know like the drilling was on PRIVATE LANDS where Barry has no control. Just to bad that the bulk of the oil is transported by the 2nd most uneconomical way and the second most hazardous mode of transport. And your worried about a pipeline leak. Go fig.

We are at $4.30 a gal. O.C. Ca. Everybody should note the speed at which things are going "wrong" financially for GOVERNMENTS and COUNTRIES, while the billionaires just get richer. MEXICO is one of the most deplorable countries, GOVERNMENTALLY. It is corrupt, and it is unfair to the people who call it home. OH, EXCEPT for one citizen. Check out "the worlds richest person" Unless some other billionaire hit big in Vegas, the worlds richest person is a mexican businessman. He is followed somewhere by a businessman from INDIA where you have to be born a certain class, or you can just look forward to scrubbing toilets on your 1 day vacation from sewing tennis shoes 18 hrs a day for U.S. companies. Greece is "sliding" backward with every loan, and a number of Europe's "Union" can't seem to make that EURO work. Lotta filthy rich in the PRIVATE sector tho... Russia has a buttload of billionaires, but their infrastructure is teetering, their government is corrupt, and whatever isn't nailed down is for sale to the highest bidder. AFRICA! Is there ANY hope for THAT continent? TONS of resources, making lots of money for folks who DON'T EVEN HAVE TIES to the country, outside of plundering the goodies. Notice all the strife in Africa? It is designed by those who are rich, (thanx AH FREE KAhahahahah) and they don't want Africans getting control of the gravy train. British pharma-goliaths have actually been exposed infecting populations in Africa for the sole purpose of "real world" testing of medications and vaccines, that once on the market are worth... uh... oh yeah TRILLIONS of dollars within two decades, and thanks to the unwitting pawns, they SAVE HUNDREDS of MILLIONS in research, and have the unrestricting gratitude of the government pawns, and the o.k. to throw whatever they can to "save" the very people they made sick in the first place. (AIDS came from monkeys? ssuuuuuuRRRRREEEE whatever) And you reading this. What are you good at? Polishing stones? Jewelry? Posting on RTH? TAKE WHATEVER you are good at, and you still won't hold a candle to how good the rich are at making money. What would YOU do with a million bucks? A rich person uses it to make TEN MILLION DOLLARS, and depending on his "financial portfolio" that could happen overnight. Money is power, power is the ability to sway whole governments, and when the government is persueded, (and THEY ARE) YOU have no voice. Power to control government is what happens here, Europe, China. Power to push government around happens in places like Africa, Mexico, India, and the middle east. When you own the resources, and you control the finacial sector, a government is a puppet show orchestrated by the wealthy. The flair they exhibit is evident when you have politicians who actually believe the government is in control. The U.S. has a military second to NONE based on technology. Tell the military YOU can't give them the "Super duper technolasertank" because of government restrictions, and watch how fast YOU are no longer bound by restrictions and enjoy governmental blessing that you use to umbrella other "MILITARY" technological R&D endeavors. You happen to be one of the wealthiest suppliers to the military. Guess what the feds were worried about? How much the technolasertank would cost in research. VERY AFFORDABLE! The feds say "HELL YES!" and so do you cos' what you were really after is those pesky restrictions NOT being applied to YOUR manufacturing R&D. Tree huggers and watchdogs do not get to whine, cos' they don't have access. You are "CLASSIFIED" Happens every DAY. Meanwhile the party is ending really quick, and pretty soon, possibly within our kids lifetimes, governments will topple. I am talking biggies like the U.S. Money doesn't recognize government. Sure Rich and wealthy will fall with a government, but not all of them. It pays to have private transport to wherever there is no strife, and of course even if your electronic wealth is decimated, you still have your valuables, right? OOH, reminds me I have to check on that Van Gogh collection. The super rich learned some BIG lessons back when J.P. Rockin'feller, Carnegi, etc tried playing Monopoly, Government WILL enact powers to hack your control from your grips. The super wealthy do not brag anymore, and they do not practice cockiness with respect to pushing their weighty dollars around. They simply and quietly amass wealth, and use it to their advantage, in every part of society from playing philanthropist to the homeless and the needy all the way to manipulating government to their own advantage. The one thing that you won't see? A billionaire in worn kahkis at a rock show buying that saw you finally scrounged enough to purchase. He will take away a favorite rock-hunting location to mine your rocks large scale (Turquoise anyone?) He will also raise your GAS PRICES. When has it sucked to be rich? The plauge and French revolution. The plauge didn't care, and the french decided to kill ANY wealthy citizen. NO exceptions. And just like the poor trying to blend in with a crowd of rich bluebloods, the wealthy attempting to impersonate the poor, well, you would have better luck selling a poodle as a pitbull. What rich person did what makes no difference, Buffet, Ted Turner, Vanderbilt, Hughes. They all step on us making their fortunes. They all make it hard for the average citizen to get ahead. They have little regard for the you and me of the middle-class money tree. Unless you have a way to get rich, or marry into wealth you will always be affected by the wealthy making money. DANG! the Van Goghs didn't pan out. ANYONE GOT TWENTY BUCKS TO LOAN ME FOR SOME GAS??? NO? crap. time for bed.

The almighty dollar has become our Idol instead of God. There is absolutely no reason for this to have happened. Greed and selfishness has taken over the world. Sad, so very sad. I am looking forward to the 2nd coming of Jesus, it won't be long now!

Gas is going up with the help of all the different blends that have to be made to keep the tree hungers and the commiefornian's happy. Refineries have to shut down and retool between every blend. This causes shortages.

One more thing. Only the republican rich are evil. Buffet and Soro are saints. Buffets stands in the way of Keystone to make big cash hauling oil with his trains and craps on all the jobs that would be created with the pipeline. Soro just buys elections and takes down economies.

Actually, I could be wrong, since I don't know much about oil transport in general, but from all the oil trucks I see, they are mostly truck hauled... US jobs for low-skill truckers and railroad workers beats jobs for Canadian and Saudi imported high skill oil pipefitters?

Let me take the above back upon further consideration. Today, the oil is already hauled where the pipe might go... so to hire those Canadian and Saudi specialist oil pipe fitters, they'd be REPLACING today's oil hauling, and FIRING those American truck drivers and railroad workers for the more 'efficient' pipeline hauling.

The trucks you see are carrying the finished product. The most eviro unfriendly ways to transport crude are. From worst to least hazardous. 1. Trucking 2. Ocean tankers 3. Rail cars 4. Pipeline There will be very few if any Canadians crossing the border to work on the pipeline. You unions would not stand for it. And we don't have enough workers here now to supply here. Thats why we are trying to bring Americans the move here and work. No Saudi workers either Helen. Now that line was pure propaganda. You can do better than that one. :nono:

Hmmm! carry the oil over the aquifer by truck. Thats a smart oxymoron move. Do you realize how much damage trucks do to highways Helen?
