and apparently 50# of bone, those dudes can barely hold their heads up. In a natural setting the have a significant disadvantage from predators what with the weight and all.
I am fond of Takoda. He looks like a deeribou! or is it a Caribeer?

A 200 pound buck in about his 4-5 year carrying a lite 10 pound rack that has whipped all the competition and is king of the woods, jumping 6 foot fences and running down does like they are cows is king of the woods. My wife and i were hunting arrowheads on 'Boweivel's' 300 acre river bottoms. A gentle slope and all plowed in row crops just 3 miles away on the Chattahoochee river. We looked up and saw a huge buck chasing 3 does. He ran them down one by one over several thousand feet. He cleared 40 feet brush lines and swells like he had a set of wings. The first 2 does stopped and waited about a minute as he chased the 3rd one into the woods. The athletic ability was frightening and his brutal chase was met with criticism by my wife. Her attitude about me killing sweet little Bambi was quickly changed. We were in awe of what we had seen. I would say the wild deer are like cage fighters and those hi bred deer are like weight lifters. Most 8 point bucks around here have split ears, facial punctures, broken antlers. They are wack jobs and nasty players. This is a typical ' king of the woods ' whitetail:

Ha ha, very funny, James. I'll bet you can understand that, too, since it is in Suthen'. Oh, wait... I'm not leading this off topic, am I?

I command you to.
Just got in from hunting. Saw nothing, one snorted at me. The big bright moon kept them up partying all night. Bob and Virgil are out here and have not shot either. They stay in the woods till 11 am.
Sleep all day and will be anxious to get out tonight. So the evening hunt should be way better.

You "command" me to? Isn't that a little strong? I don't want to get in any trouble for going off topic...
I have more redneck stories/photos/images/cartoons than you can shake a stick at. If have I time today between packing, I'll share a few with you - if that's okay with you.
Good luck your next time out. I'd watch out for Bob and Virgil, they look like trouble. James, don't kid yourself, you are better looking than both of them put together!

James, I have read/heard that some large crafty Whitetails do not come out of the deep brush in daylight during hunting season. I have many times seen Mulie bucks wait in the woods until the does are out in the meadow, then if they don't get shot, he slips out a few minutes later.

Same game here. My biggest were shot when they leased next property and walked in with the wind running them to me. The real big ones do just what you said Bill, maybe 365 a year. I have heard of putting alarm clocks in a big bucks bed when he is out and waitng at one of his exits when the alarm goes off during the day to shoot. If i just had a little Jack Russell that would harass them out of their bed. Course they may kill the dog.... I like all legal hunting. That's the main fun of it all. I have seen most trophies at noon. Low doe population will help get them going. And the tame farm deer will come out. But if wild dogs are loose constantly they will pick up and move far away.

And, nothin' better than a nice hot soak when you get in from huntin'. Redneckism is widespread. I like that.

James, sure is pretty out there. Looks like crunchy walking all-right.
Hahaha, Jean, the Winders one has icons from one of my favorite old computer games, 'Redneck Rampage'.
It was available with an optional "cusspack" that was really funny. There are vids there of it too. (Redneck Rampage - 01 - Taylor Town [All Secrets Found] )

As mentioned, there is no rush like the deer crunching your way.

Be careful what you wish for, James. Just for you, more non-deer off topic stuff, lol. Now don't that look like fun? Who's dummer, the mudder, or the idjuts standing around the mudhole?
