Maybe if Lucy was smiling it would have helped. . .
I was thinking you could make one with a cannon barrel, pack it with grapeshot, aim it down the lane and kick back while waiting for dinner present and future. Should be good out to 600 yards. . .

James, congratulations on the fire pit sales, whoo-hoo! Let's hope this is the start of a sales spurt. And good luck at the knap in tomorrow. (You may have to beat 'em off with a stick when they see your coral!)
So, for the hat trick, you've got to bag your trophy buck this weekend, too.
I didn't realize you had a Lucy. Yeah, I think she sold your fire pits for you.
As for what's wrong with the cute baby and dog? Three words - Billy Bob teeth, lol!
Gonna miss you guys this weekend. But not as much as y'all are going to miss out on the fun in the Cadys. Y'all had your chance, you'll just have to see it vicariously in photos now. Maybe can get out of here in a couple, three hours. I am chompin' at the bit!

I have never seen such. A deer w/a canon.
We will miss you more than the Cady's Jean. Who can we hire to sidetrack the subjects. Go waaaaaay around in a loooong circle. It's great!

James, I'll turn the reins over to Karen in my absence. She seems quite capable (even if she can't load pics, lol!). Now if it was both you and Scott, I might worry about her holding her own. But since it's just you (and maybe @wampidy), I think I can trust her to run circles around you, and lead the threads waaaaay off topic. Karen, I'm counting on you. I'll have to handle Scott by myself (no contest!). There's five people there now (Scott, barclay, Tommy and Eva, and newcomer David). I understand it's supposed to get windy, so they moved a bit to the southeast, in the lee of a hill for some protection. I hate wind when tent camping!! I hope the fire is still going and I can find them okay. Almost full moon should help shed some light on it. I'm afraid they're all going to go to bed before I get there. Well, I can fix that, lol! Probably will take me at least half an hour to get the tent up and get set up. I'll try my darndest not to make too much noise.

You have left me in good hands. You and Karen are pushovers. Life is easy. Talking big is easy at 2000 miles away Moving behind the mountain to dodge the wind- cool strategy. I know you guys will have a great time. And find some great stuff. Share photos pls

Nice pattern on that buck! From what one can see it looks like no meat ruined/bloodshot (unless the exit wounds are harsh) One might have got the paunch... I don't think it is legal to take big game with a cannon here. I have seen out-of-staters turn a elk into mincemeat with regular rifles. The old "Firing Line" up at Gardner was like being in a combat zone. Some wild stories spanning the decades from that area, they finally closed it.

That deer was canon ed at 130 yards. One of you crazy horse westerners. Public lands are interesting to say the least. There was 148 of those shooter marble sized lead balls.

I could have had so much fun but I'm rarely online on the weekends and only just caught this. How long are you all gone? I'll be logged in from work as usual tomorrow and can definitely lead the guys astray! I have a battery powered pump for an airbed that sounds like an old rickety prop plane taking off - I could have loaned it to you

If not pushovers, too slow to be a threat. That was posted over 24 hours ago. That is weird. I just remembered typing that an hour ago knowing dang well that it was going to come back and bite me.
You and Jean do not seem the type to back down from beating up on innocent people.(helpless might be better adjective)

Worried for Bob, not for Jean. Jean can take care of business.
