dehcpa Yes, these folks are all just regular folks with hobby equipment in their sheds, basements and garages. They are patient and passionate. They/we are all avid experimenters and look for better results. "Better" being defined by each individual. Some try to speed the process. Some go for ultimate polish. All are here for one reason. Fun. It is a bunch of fun! And very rewarding. Read here, a lot. In the couple rock tumbling subforums. Follow guys like jamesp , Drummond Island Rocks and Jugglerguy whom all share their techniques, experiments and knowledge freely. Introduce yourself in the new guy forum, hang around and get to know us. A lot of really good people here. I know many of them personally from my travels. I vouch for them for sure!

These are some really great entries. Every time I look at them I want to change my vote. So far I'm sticking with my first impression, but man they are all winners!

nice ones, hard to pick just one. Are we supposed to vote for the 'best polish' or just the 'best overall stone'?

From THE GREAT STATE OF ALABAMMY I HAVE DONE MY PATRIOTIC DUTY AND VOTED IN THIS EXPRESSION OF THE FREEDOM THAT THIS HEAH GREAT NATION STANDS FOR AND FOR THE REPUBLIC FROM WHICH MOST OF THEM THAR ROCKS CAME FROM (I think).
That #10 is completely OUT OF SIGHT!!!!!!!

I keep coming back to this page to stare at the beauty of these rocks. Is this competition like the NBA finals where we have to go through the east and west coast finals to determine the Cleveland Cavaliers of rock tumbling? Winner keeps going till they lose? Or is this like politics and if you don't get over 50% there's a runoff? These things are true works of art. I want to vote again!!

The contest creator could do something different but that is how they are typically done.

But your right I was wrong to answer that question on your thread.
