We tumblers tend to be a patient bunch. There are worse things than waiting for free rocks to come to you in the mail.

Scott, No apology needed man! It really is a non issue on my part. I just read your post this morning as I was running out the door. I thought about responding throughout the day but other commitments kept me from doing so. For that I am sorry. @garage Rocker has it right when he said " there are worse things than waiting on free rocks come". I hope you know how much we all appreciate what you do...Thank you! Although we have never met, I hope to one day, and personally shake your hand and say thanks! Salute to you. Sincerely, Jeff A

I messed up totally. I should have kept all that stuff for me!! Kidding. I'm happy you are pleased. I am a little afraid that the red plumey stuff will undercut. It is Cady MTN material and white there is often calcite. I have some I kept to. You will beet me to it. The green is lizard stone from Burro Creek. The stuff similar to Lavic is a new locality I held aside for my self. Beat me to polishing it! Garage Rocker has September but October is yours!

Eva and I have talked about pulling the trailer down there when it cools off - do a little boon-docking on site.

OK I almost didn't do this but since this thread already "ran it's course" I figure what the hell. In June, Scott, Ray (rockncajun) and I met up for some rockhounding - none of us ever got a trip report written up but we did find some pretty good material. This material is from an area that we need to go back and see about. Some of what I collected was on the bloody side - bleeding iron - but it's freaking beautiful material. This is rockncajun hard at work on the boulder after I gave up. The problem was we couldn't determine how large the rock was - it began to seem like we were digging away on the tip of an iceberg. These pieces of material were broken off out of the same hole. It's an interesting mix of bright red jasper, fortification agate, and red moss agate.
